KF has already disabled some API features and has now started deleting files on a massive scale. All these signs point to one thing: KF is having problems again, and they're about to start changing features, procedures, and workflows all over again.

I've never seen a file-hosting service this unstable. What's more, I've noticed something disturbing: whenever you start questioning the KF staff, your KF account seems to start running into problems...
 
KatFile has to be one of the most frustrating file hosting services around. Changed passwords, broken download links, fake daily bandwidth-limit errors despite downloading absolutely nothing, and premium accounts that barely deliver what customers pay for.

And that's not all. Payouts taking 45+ days? Affiliates generate revenue for the platform, yet they're left waiting indefinitely for their hard-earned money.

Customers pay on time, uploaders do their work, but when KatFile is expected to deliver, suddenly everyone needs patience.

Bandwidth disappears before you download, links fail when you need them, and your earnings get stuck in payout limbo.

Is this really what KatFile considers a premium service? Because from the outside, it looks less like professional file hosting and more like a masterclass in how to lose users' trust.

KatFile: premium frustration, budget-level reliability, and payments on a geological timescale.
 
This filehost is a f*cking c**cer and should be avoided at all cost.

Back then, they were just a couple of brats who had the idea of setting up a hosting service. They got very lucky and things worked out well for them, but that’s as far as it goes; they don’t know how to maintain a professional service, due to their immaturity and lack of knowledge on how to run a business in a professional manner.

It's always one issue after another. The only reason I even come to this forum anymore is because of these problems. I've had to tolerate this time and time again. Endless, never-ending issues. What's worse is that most of the time, these problems are created by the admins themselves.

Error Message – invalid license_key

Hello KF Support,

While using KatFile, I suddenly started receiving the following error message in the middle of an operation:

invalid license_key

The error keeps appearing repeatedly, preventing me from continuing what I was doing.

Could you please investigate what is causing this issue and advise me on how to resolve it?

Every time KF tries to appease a certain party by mass-deleting files, it eventually becomes clear that all those deletions have been pointless, because the domain still ends up getting taken down.

This has happened repeatedly over the past two years. Not only does KF alienate its uploaders and lose customers, but it also loses its domains, making people see KF as an unreliable file-hosting service.

Instead of constantly changing the interface to the point where it becomes confusing, adding short AV videos, reducing download speeds for free users, and adding an image-hosting site that users are forced to promote, KF should focus on getting its core services right.

All these extra changes and side projects are pointless if the fundamental service remains unstable. KF should prioritize the reliability of its file-hosting service rather than wasting resources on unnecessary features.

Exactly this was our mistake. We will no longer delete files. Whether we remove them or not, they still block our domains and cause problems for us, so we have decided to stop deleting them. We will promptly investigate every report involving suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and immediately remove any confirmed illegal content. We will also comply with all applicable reporting and evidence-preservation requirements.
