sorry but it seems you're trying to fool peopleHello, Yes it's disabled in visitor side but enabled in User side, you can upload subtitle in File Manager just by right click and select Upload Subtitle,
Important Announcement:In the next few days we will officially support DASH (MPEG-DASH)Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP
This technology is one of the fastest protocols for video streaming beside HLS we are working to make them both available.
- The difference is HLS videos are chopped into 10 Seconds parts to allow fast streaming / fast buffer
- while DASH is more advanced, Video is chopped into 1 - 3 seconds parts that makes buffer/streaming a lot faster!
So that your viewers will have a AMAZING experience with us!
Regards
Jetload.NET
Both HLS and Dash are adaptive bitrate streaming technologies requiring MSE.sorry but it seems you're trying to fool people
MPEG-DASH is not an upgrade from HLS.
HLS for specific devices and MPEG-DASH for another kind of devices, and each one work only on supported devices.
this is why this person was facing problem:
https://www.wjunction.com/threads/j...ly-payouts-35-10k.235504/page-13#post-2328642
Because HLS does not support his device, but MPEG-DASH does.
you're adding MPEG-DASH? thank you that's great!
but don't try to fool the people saying it's upgrade from HLS because each one works on different OS and devices
all of what you said is exactly right. Both HLS and Dash are adaptive bitrate streaming technologies requiring MSE.
HLS was originally founded by Apple and all the iOS devices fully support this without any 3rd party scripts . So the video not playing for the guy above must be some server fault as I see no reason why it wouldn't work in Safari.
Also FYI, it's not for specific devices. They both need MSE to work and some browsers have no native support for it including iOS ( but iOS supports HLS ). But every browser that has javascript support will be able to play them both using external players such as VideoJS with dash.js/hls.js.
I don't know why they are adding Dash protocol. Maybe because they store the chunks in fMP4 format which makes it usable for both HLS and DASH without any re encoding. But who knows, might be for the best.

but for someone like me who worked over years with BitMovin i would say that guy is trying to fool the people by telling them that DASH is 3 second long and HLS is 10 while as you know you can setup HLS at any level you want! you can make HLS 3 or even 100 seconds if you want because it's adjustable, and that' all besides that he wants to add both HLS and DASH together which doesn't make any sense
i am not saying their system is bad i didn't try them to give my final review but fooling the people isn't acceptable.
if they want to reduce the clip length from 10 seconds into 3 seconds they can edit their HLS config only
thank you for the details, but it does not refute any of what i saidHello,
Have we wrote Upgrade ? Please read again
"This technology is one of the fastest protocols for video streaming beside HLS"
Beside HLS this doesnt mean its better, I said it's more advanced.
And I never said we will upgrade we said we will support both
If we would like to fool peopel we will not post a Wikipedia URL .
About the post you mentioned, just to correct your information that video is not encoded its original MP4, that's why the user had problems with it.
Thank you
Thank you very much, I like to see when someone has good experience with streaming protocols
What you wrote is 100% correct
We don't have support for FMP4/M4s all our videos are in TS formats so we can't play HLS and DASH at same time
Thank you
OK, if you worked with Bitmovin you surely know the advantages of DASH and HLS,
And you surely know that the Adaptive bitrate of DASH is highly better and more advanced then HLS.
10 seconds for HLS is standard !
1-3 Seconds for DASH is what we plan to do.
And you know that even if HLS is chopped into 1-3 Seconds part DASH will be always better in Adaptive Streaming ?
https://strivetech.io/hls-vs-mpeg-dash/
Fast channel switching
How quickly you can switch between individual channels depends on the largest of the sub-segments (chunks). The smaller the chunks, the faster a channel can be changed. As already mentioned in the introduction, chunks are usually about 10 seconds long with HLS, whereas they are usually 2 to 4 seconds long with DASH. So DASH is one step ahead in this respect.
Edit//
You said you worked with Bitmovin ?
Here is what they say about HLS/DASH
And the raison why we will support both:
https://bitmovin.com/adaptive-streaming-technology-comparison/
i have no single idea why you keep trying to fool the people again and again !!!The only joke is you trying to blame us without even bein a user.
Everyone knows that DASH is more advanced then HLS, No matter 10 seconds or even 1 second HLS, DASH is far better in Adaptive streaming
It doesnt mean we can't change HLS to 2-4 seconds we can but DASH will be better in any case.
The only problem is it's not working on all devices that's why we will offer Both DASH for modern devices and HLS for devices where DASH is not supported
We are going to offer both HLS & DASH !
I can believe what you say just in case maybe you know better about Live Streaming Protocols then our company or thos guys ( I don't believe ) :D

You can stay with your old days MP4 hosts.
We bring streaming to high level !
Everyone can enjoy the power of HLS and DASH !
Show me just 1 Host who offer HLS+DASH and is paying, I don't think you will find it.
As we are the only host world-wide who will offer 2 Adaptive Streaming Protocols HLS+DASH with PPV
i have no single idea why you keep trying to fool the people again and again !!!
MP4 is the most stable format and that's why Google (YouTube) and DailyMotion (the biggest video hosting's and they pay "PPV") still use MP4. Every one in the world is aware of the HLS-and-DHAS problem and that's why biggest services in the world avoid it and keep using MP4.
Estream.to used to use HLS and check their thread how many people reported problems with their player because of that.
If the HLS or the DASH is the future, big services (who is much bigger than you tiny host) would use it.
I checked multiple google forum threads and figured out that YouTube use HLS-DASH for live events only. They deliver their normal videos with multiple qualities 144,240,360,480,720,1080,2160 through MP4 and nothing else MP4.Tiny host is the host you are working for.
Just to see that you have no idea of what you are talking !
Youtube/dailymotion, OK.ru are using HLS/DASH
Hey mate . Just wanted to say thay YouTube switched to Dash a long time ago. This is why when you download youtube videos you need something like TubeMate or some video converters to join all the audio video chunks and can't download directly. However youtube still stores mutex mp4s ( mp4 with A/V ) upto 720p30fps and they also seem to store mp4 video only ( without audio ) but I don't know why.I checked multiple google forum threads and figured out that YouTube use HLS-DASH for live events only. DON’T BELIEVE ME, BUT OPEN ANY NORMAL YOUTUBE VIDEO AND SEE.
Also check every spot on Google Drive, Google Photos, Dropbox and every similar service and you will find only MP4.
HLS & DASH could be great option for live streaming and specific needs but bot any file hosting such as YouTube or any host around here.
Can you answer me why other hosts don’t use it? Openload, RapidVideo, GoUnlimited, and VeryStream? They don’t have money? No because it doesn’t cost any money to add it. Actually it will cost them less money than MP4 because the load will be reduced, BUT THE PROBLEM WILL BE INCREASED.
I don’t think you’re following my point because you think I am against you while I am not! I am trying to tell you from my long experience HLS-DASH doesn’t work for hosts! Even biggest developers don’t recommend it.
You keep replying me like I am fighting you while I am only trying to stop you from fooling the people and don’t made the biggest mistake in your life.

thank you for the details my friend! but my point is still sameHey mate . Just wanted to say thay YouTube switched to Dash a long time ago. But you can't say Lamborghini is slow and bugatti is fast because they're both fast. Sure, Bugatti may be the fastest but here in the video streaming industry we are not looking for that luxury. We just want a lag free user experience. Just my $0.02![]()
