How to split Avi video without data loss via SSH?

Hi,
Could you please give me command line (SSH) to split video (Avi or someelse like WMV,..) without quality loss?

After Google, i found this useful page:

It seems Avisplit can help me, but i dont know how to install it? Anyone try it?<3
