And my main one in which I am obsessed about traffic on I simply use Google Analytics Real Time and I have it always displayed on my iPad which is directly next to my PC monitors. Its cool because I can see what URLs are being accessed and a have a map of the world showing me where all the users are from, one time I managed to get a user from each continent! It also displays "Right now #" to give a quick sum of how many users are on the site currently with a display for which users are first time visitors & which ones are recurring visitors.
I'm SURE there are block modules for google analytics and other similar analytic apps that are available if you poke around. My personal suggestion for you is to access irc.freenode.net and ask in the #drupal channel if you are ever stuck on a Drupal issue, there are literally hundreds in there sharing and collaborating tips all in real time!
