How to know that a hosted on a VPS or DEDICTED or SHARED server

Next time, please take the time to write it out properly. Shared server= No root access/SSH

VPS/Dedicated have very similar features(a vps is a virtualized dedicated)

a site which is on vps will have his own nameservers when you do whois

theres no standard way of doing it, but generally people think that if only one site (hostname ) is using an IP Address, then it's considered as Dedicated/ VPS .. or else , its considered as shared .
some providers offer dedicated IP with shared hosting also :P
