How to get back a domain?

A friend of mine had a nice domain, he said that they hacked his account and they stole it ...
Registration Service was done in turkey ... now he is asking is there a way to get it back?
what can the registrator do about this shit ? BTW he said the registrator is a small company

personally i don't even give a shit about it. asked me many times and i said may be someone knows something ......

If he can show that he paid for the name through his credit card or paypal account most companies will research the claim and give it back to him. He will need to show that he is the owner of the payment method and his name was the one in the registration. He will need to send a copy of his drivers license.

I retrieved one for a client from godaddy where the thief tried to blackmail them for $7000 to get the name back.
