How to change width of wordpress theme(centre content area)

i want to increase the content area width(centre area-marked with red colour), how to increase it.....??

Its not an easy task if you dont have at least basic knowledge at html. You can ruin the whole template

well if you have bought your theme from top providers as Whoo and so then most of the times you will have it coded in as you can change every single thing.

In the CSS try to look for the body width... change that to your likings
