How to block pop ups-Need help

Many websites now have pop ups adverts whnever i visit these sites pop ups n pop unders appears holds my pc for few seconds and then other browser windows is opened X-(X-(X-(X-(X-(

how to block these annoying pop ups!

Thanks PUMA for replying.i already have adblockplus installed but i dont know how to block pop ups from them.i can block other ads inside the browser but i cant or dont know how to block pop ups!

I recommended Ad Muncher, more feature and able to block different type of hidden/force/pop-up ads.
It's pretty easy to bypass activation. (You might found quite difficult to do it, if you doesn't have knowledge regards searching.)
