how many $ you guys make with forum

Forums usually make little profit, if any.

Reason being, the userbase is smart, they aren't newb enough to click ads or paysite links. Plus the more you try monetise a forum, the less the members like it which can lead to loss of activity.

Interestingly enough, due to forums making no money, the owners are usually the most dedicated webmasters around. If you make no profit, own a server and a popular forum, its obviously not for money.

Thats actually not true. On my old forum when i had adsense running on vbulletin i made roughly 20+ per day. Somtimes i would get $50 per day.
I made 100 in 4 days and then fukgoogle ads shut me down
 
this month I got $12 from donations.
No money from Ads
I am planning to put some text links on forum to cover server cost

and if you didn't have those ads, you'd have had more returning members and a lower bounce rate. Which was my point.
 
I make around $20 a week, excluding the 30k rapidshare points, which I usually just sell accounts from.

I don't have adds on my site, and I don't ask for donations - I usually just make money of downloads to be honest.
