Help me test the download speed

Hi,

I just sold a VPS to
accyuklad but he thinks VPS is giving poor speed of 200kbps - 400kbps
can you hep me wget to your VPS, Server, rapidleech, or even your home internet and let us know the exat download speed..
Plz provide snapshot of download speed and also specify your country and internet speed

I tested on UK 100mbps connection and result is:

i noticed if i use idm it maxes out 2.0mb/s on my broadband but if i dont use idm it about 400kbs stupid ie

i did a transfer test kloxo to kloxo and it fast again
 
dont have time to post screen shots but here is my speed test results...

USA 1 Gbit : 1700-1800 KB/s max
NL 1 Gbit : 2500-2800 KB/s max

If the server is 1 Gbit then its useless to use it for uploading OR its overloaded

Just my 2 cents

EDIT : NL speed reduced to 300-400 KB/s now
 
If he is downloading or uploading from VPS-Home computer or vice versa..Yes Its depend on our ISP speed.

If you downloading file from your VPS to your Computer...You won't get download speed of 1MBs or more..if you have 512 KBPs home net speed.

If your VPS speed is 100 MBPS ...you can get the file download from Website(If website has not flagged download speed) on your VPS for a speed like 1-2MBPS or more.

however, I will say use speedtest website to check your VPS speed.
 
i have a 20meg connection which is in 2.0mb/s

tryed speedtest mini and showed 7.95mbps download

i new the server was to far from the uk to get good speeds

so i need a vps that is close to uk but offshore like netherlands

so stupid me been putting 2.0mb/s and thinking vps i brought is fast when it slow

and relised it works out by the digits like speedtest

so i wasted $15 on vps thinking location distance didnt matter

i sent you a pm about refund if possible as im going to get a netherlands location

you even know what are you doing..
Speedtest.net checks connection speed with the nearest location

ye but what i trying to say if im downloading from uk and your server is miles away that maybe the reason for slow speed

because i still get 500-600kb/s

well i cba arguin
