that's a good question, I always search torrent sites for mp4

Uhm, install VLC player in your idevice. It can play AVI videos. Tried it on my ipod touch and it works well with porn and a few gay-themed movies i have here (y)

I know but the mp4s specifically made for iphone would be much smaller in size.

You can find many iPhone/iPod movie megathreads on Warez BB, they are just a search away.
You can also find them at torrents sites, try searching in the movie section with iPod or iPhone as a keyword.
