Filesonic but which application

I have been using IDM(internet download manager) with Megaupload and Fileserve.

But recently i plan to try something new like Filesonic and would like to know if there is any other type of application(download manager) similar to IDM but better?and make sure to note whether do i need to pay the application or not()
