Hi,

What do you mean?

Have you uploaded via FTP or Browser?

If uploaded via FTP, have you 'published' the file? You need to publish the file first.

No... $0.10 per GB is already very low. This means 100GB costs just $10.

$0.01 per GB is just way too cheap to be sustainable.

If anyone else is experiencing problems with the FTP upload facility, please do post here. FTP upload has only JUST been released so we are keen to know about, and resolve any problems found.

I sure as hell, as a downloader, would not use a system where I had to pay $10 to download 100GB. Uploaded.to has 100GB priced at 5 euro and I still consider that pretty expensive (in comparison to what filehosts otherwise generally offer).

Your system is good if a user wants to use it to actually sell their own files/goods. But advertising it here, on WJunction, where you are fully aware that people would only use a filehost to share copyrighted content is a pretty, pretty stupid move. If you're trying to build a legitimate business, posting it here is the wrong move to make.

Good luck with your venture though :)

Indeed it is our intention to promote FileShoppe as a platform to SELL digital goods and not to use it to share copyright material. We do not promote this on our servers.

If you think WJ is not a suitable place to promote FileShoppe, what would you suggest?

FYI, 5EUR is arround US$6.7 so it is only $3.30 cheaper than our base price.

The big difference is, I assume with most file hosts, you would have to sign up/register and pay some sort of monthly/annual fee which commits you with them.

We do no such thing. We do not require downloaders to register and they are not committed to anything other than what they choose to download/buy. So if they see a file for $0.10, then this is all it will cost them.

So there are certain costs with other file hosts that can be avoided with FileShoppe.

carrot.org only hong kong and china bank where is the other country ?

I sent them an E-Mail querying this. They have responded by saying they are updating the form to enter international bank account information.

It is, after all, an HK based gateway. In the past they had a simple form for selecting overseas bank accounts and there has typically been a wire transfer fee of US$30 or so. However, I believe they are moving for FREE, or reduced transfers fees to USA/EU countries.

But in any case, they do allow withdrawals to Paypal. Isn't this what most people want any way?

CarrotPay Merchant ID - what is this?

This has alreadt been answered.

It is YOUR unique Merchant ID from CarrotPay (http://carrot.org).

With this ID, we know where to send the Payment on every download.

Using CarrotPay, we can ensure you are paid INSTANTLY on every download, and not at the end of the week/month. I believe we are the only host offering this service so you cant try it straight away!

Hi Jungle,

It is very simple. In order to use FileShoppe (and recieve funds), you must have CarrotPay.

Whenever you upload your digital product (file), you input your CarrotPay merchant ID, which tells us where to send the money when the customer (downloader) pays.

As the payment is made DIRECTLY to your Merchant account, there is no need to wait for payouts from us. There is also no issue of trust. You recieve payments directly from the customer and it is cleared into your account merchant account which you can then withdraw or spend as you please.

There are no user accounts, no subscription fees. It is a simple pay-as-go model.
