Update: Though this should be obvious. Copyright material is NOT allowed without the express permission of the copyright holder.

FileShoppe is a pay-per-download file host running two primary services.

1. Paid downloads, where the uploader sets their own price and retains 100% of their earnings less our $0.01 per 100MB fee.

2. Free downloads, where the content is made freely available to downloaders with certain restrictions imposed (such as reduced speed). These files then have an option of a premium download (to bybass any imposed restrictions) at a fee of just $0.01 per 100MB. Uploaders earn 20% on 'free' files.

Instant Payout
FileShoppe pays out instantly on every premium/paid download. Funds are cleared into your merchant account the instant the downloader begins their download!

Free Files
FileShoppe allows you to charge for your files or release to the public free of charge.

Our rates are a fixed US$0.01 per 100MB! If releasing your files for free, you will receive 20% of the total sale price instantly in your CarrotPay (http://carrot.org) merchant account for every file you upload and share!

e.g. 350MB file cost $0.035 (3.5c) to download. Uploader receives $0.007.
e.g. 5MB file cost $0.01 (1c) to download. Uploader receives $0.002.
e.g. 1GB file cost $0.10 (10c) to download. Uploader receives $0.02.

Priced Files
Uploaders can release their files for a fee and maximize their earnings!
You can charge between $0.01 and $200.00 for your digital goods! The bandwidth fee remains static at $0.01 per 100MB.

e.g. 350MB file price at $1 would incur a bandwidth fee of $0.035(3.5c). Uploader receives $0.965.
e.g. 5MB file price at $0.10 would incur a bandwidth fee of $0.01(1c). Uploader receives $0.09.
e.g. 1GB file price at $0.50 would incur a bandwidth fee of $0.10(10c). Uploader receives $0.40.

(Non-Free files are not available as free downloads)

Payout Method
FileShoppe pays out with CarrotPay (http://carrot.org). We use CarrotPay for several reasons.

1. Transactions are NON reversible.
This allows us to be sure we can pay out instantly. And you can be sure your funds are yours!

2. Transaction fees to accept CarrotPay are low, at just 5%.

3. CarrotPay supports split payments! This is how we can guarantee instant payout. Funds go directly to your account via a split payment. When the downloader makes their payment, the funds are instantly sent to you directly without ever going through us.

4. Flexible top-up/withdraw methods. CarrotPay allows for top-ups via Credit Card/Paypal/Bank Transfer and more. You can withdraw to Paypal and Bank.

5. You don't NEED to sign up for CarrotPay. You can use your Google/Yahoo/Facebook/AOL account to authenticate yourself through open ID. Although you can sign up for CarrotPay directly too.

Account LESS
FileShoppe does not depend on user accounts to function. FileShoppe does not have any premium or user accounts for downloads. We only offer user accounts for content providers as an option. Accounts are required to make use of our FTP upload facility.

The safe, secure and anonymous!
http://fileshoppe.net/As FileShoppe does not depend on accounts, you can be sure we don't hold any of your personal information. Our system is highly distributed, with files hosted on our purpose build CDN. We can ensure that files are only delivered upon successful/valid payment.

How to Upload?
FileShoppe currently offers upload via web browser or FTP for registered users.

Any questions? Please ask!

FileShoppe is intended to be a distributed system.

When files are uploaded, they will eventually be copied to other servers in the cluster which will serve as a second/third/Nth mirror.

Currently, servers are located in USA and HK. There are plans underway for an EU presence. Most likely NL.

Users can pay with Paypal through the CarrotPay gateway. However payments are recieved by us, and by uploaders, in a CarrotPay merchant account. The funds can then be withdrawn to paypal if you wish.

As mentioned in our first post, we use CarrotPay for the following reasons.

1. Non reversable payments. This means we can GAURANTEE instant payout on every premium download. It is not possible to do this with Paypal.

2. Low fees of just 5%. Since transaction values can be as low as $0.01, a 5% charge is the lowest in the market. In order for Paypal to even come close to being competitive, transactions would need to be in excess of $10.

3. Split payments. We use CarrotPay's split payment facility so that funds are recieved DIRECTLY into your merchant account. When a downloader pays, you recieve it directly from them, and not from us. We never hold you money, and why should we? It's you money!

4. You can withdraw to your Paypal or bank account from CarrotPay if you like. I am told that CarrotPay will soon add other methods of top-up and withdraw to make things more flexible.

What is your merchant ID? It is not the same as your Facebook email... Your merchant ID should look like: DHFD-HFGD-JDHF-KJLD

And by that I mean 16 charachters. You can enter it with or without the '-'

Seems so interesting in my mind.
@foxman : The system works just like the supermarket. You upload a file, and define the price for it, example $1 for a pdf, you received 40 cents and fileshoppe got 60 cents.Correct me if I'm wrong :)

How do you mean complex? It is actually very simple! At least, we think so.

We have a simple fee structure, which is $0.01 per 100MB ($0.10 per GB) with a minimum charge of $0.01.

Example:

1MB file = $0.01
10MB file = $0.01
100MB file = $0.01
1GB file = $0.10

We also alow for fractions of a cent.

So 350MB = $0.035
1.05GB = 1050MB = $0.105

These are OUR fees.

Imagine you are content provider (uploader). If you upload a file and set a price of $0. The file will be freely available to downloaders, just as you see with normal file hosts now. However, the downloader will have the option to download using the premium service using the above fee structure. Content providers will recieve 20% of the value of the sale. Meaning $0.01 sale will result in the content provider recieving $0.002.

However, we allow content providers to set a price on their files. So if you set a price of $1.00 on a 1GB file, you will recieve $0.90. However, in doing so, FREE download becomes unavailable for that file.

It does get MORE complicated with our 'sharer' scheme, but this is not fully released yet.

If you require further clarification, please let us know!
