now all filehosting can be stopped, they begin with one of the bigger, the rest is more easy to stop, the worry is for have data base of users, and can damage to many users in the world

Rofl, I just found out about this on the phone from my mother. :facepalm:
Had to dig out a laptop since i've not been about for awhile to see if its real and its indeed true.

What i find funny is the US gov fucktards have no jurisdiction in places like hong kong etc, Yet go in and arrest anyone linked to it.

So whats going to happen to us users who used MU for legit purposes ?
I myself was a Megaupload user since 2008 infact it was the first filehost i ever used. I stored all my website backups there and pc backups and familys laptop backups there since they had no clue how to backup.

And now look they fucked anon off and well it's going to be war on the internet soon.

All im going to say to finish this is, Good job US you now fucked yourselves. good and proper. :facepalm:

The summary doesn't mention it, but none of those indicted or arrested were U.S. citizens or had likely even ever set foot on U.S. soil. Even if you're in another country, you had better make sure you're not violating U.S. law. Here's a full list of those foreigners who foolishly thought they weren't under U.S. jurisdiction (from the DOJ website) http://www.justice.g o v/opa/pr/2012/January/12-crm-074.html

Kim Dotcom, aka Kim Schmitz and Kim Tim Jim Vestor, 37, a resident of both Hong Kong and New Zealand. Dotcom founded Megaupload Limited and is the director and sole shareholder of Vestor Limited, which has been used to hold his ownership interests in the Mega-affiliated sites.

Finn Batato, 38, a citizen and resident of Germany, who is the chief marketing officer;

Julius Bencko, 35, a citizen and resident of Slovakia, who is the graphic designer;

Sven Echternach, 39, a citizen and resident of Germany, who is the head of business development;

Mathias Ortmann, 40, a citizen of Germany and resident of both Germany and Hong Kong, who is the chief technical officer, co-founder and director;

Andrus Nomm, 32, a citizen of Estonia and resident of both Turkey and Estonia, who is a software programmer and head of the development software division;

Bram van der Kolk, aka Bramos, 29, a Dutch citizen and resident of both the Netherlands and New Zealand, who oversees programming and the underlying network structure for the Mega conspiracy websites.

Dotcom, Batato, Ortmann and van der Kolk were arrested today in Auckland, New Zealand, by New Zealand authorities, who executed provisional arrest warrants requested by the United States. Bencko, Echternach and Nomm remain at large.

I think they'll be up and running again in no time. Just look at piratebay, rapidshare etc...

they have money to fight this and win, and as mentioned before.. the site is used for legal purposes aswell and they respond to dcma complaints

The very day after uncounted internet sites shut down to protest SOPA/PIPA (which had a profound effect), and some website gets shut down for piracy on the order of a half billion dollars? Darn, if I would've known, I would've had my popcorn and soda ready. Such theatre!
