Email tracking

Hey!

Not sure if this is the right section in first place...

I am looking for a way to be able to track the emails that have been opened/read by recipients. Not using Gmail. So don't think chrome plugins will work.

Is there any free way to do it? Maybe a script or something? Or a site that offers the service completely free?

Would appreciate any help here.

Fortunately/Unfortunately there is no guaranteed method of doing this. You can ask for a receipt, but the email client can be configured to comply or ignore and even ask permission for sending a receipt.

Another way to possibly track it, is to put an image in the email specific to the particular email. If your images has been served, then your customer has seen the email, but many clients don't render images without asking for this very reason.

Whether you are using a script/mailchimp or another means, as previously stated your results will not be guaranteed.
