DVD works but CD doesn't :|

What - combi drive only reading 1 format; 2 separate drives (1 DVD,1 CD) & only the CD ROM isn't working?????

I got a BluRay DVD writer of Sony.

Does it read or write to cds? Try a retail cd to be sure it is not a weak laser and has problems with the pc made cds.

Sony Drives are Shit! i faced a lot of problem with 2 DVD drives of mine......Using LG now....it Rox...

some of the sony drives have reading problem. cant recognize CD's
if the system is under warranty.. take your drive to service center..
if not then buy a new one..

try a firmware upgrade or contact sony officials

Try some original CD, if not downgrade ur drivers. Clean with dvd lens cleaner
