Download eBooks Kindle Amazon

I have noticed that the Kindle from Amazon allows users to buy/download over 750,000 books online. But most books are to be paid. So the real question is there a site or sites, where users can download many ebooks like on amazon? Books like The Lost World by Michael Crichton. Classic books.

I believe manybooks.net has lots of free books in Kindle format (.azw files) and Reader (.lrf) but they only have classics and not many modern or new releases.

What you can do is just find an ebook in txt form or convert it a regular ebook to txt form and then email it to Amazon. The convert it to azw for you for free without any questions about the source of your file. Other wise you can just convert a txt file to an azw with programs like MobiPocket Think of it like putting a movie on your iPhone. If you get the source in any format you can just convert it yourself.

For Amazon send an email to ourkindleusername@free.kindle.com (sub in your Amazon Kindle username for "yourkindleusername"). Amazon will then send you a converted file, free of charge.
