Does RS suck mainly because they expect you to share for free?

It doesn't suck, it's still awesome to download from. Hell, I still upload to it for 2 reasons, katz rules and for direct traffic, a lot of people are still in love with rapidshare.

You've stated that people are only interested in making money - which is not always the case. The fact is, people will be charged for storing Rapidshare files now, and earning no money from uploading means losing money by paying RS.

The only downside for the new change is that the cost of getting a rapidpro account is too much now, i have accounts with less than 400 rapids and they are pretty useless for me right now.

I do know that, and that's what's such a pain. If you upload for the sharing is caring motto (which if you upload to rs, you probably do), you likely upload unpopular stuff for the few people that want it or you upload for smaller sites, in which case, you're gonna end up with dead downloads, and how the fuck does that make me dumb? That's a direct insult as far as I'm concerned and it's because of people like you that these topics, which people like to discuss, get closed.
