vbulletin is my favorite forum software, but mybb is in my opinion the best free forum software. it looks similiar to vB, has some limitations but there are really nice extensions e.g. for wordpress-integration etc.

VB is more powerful in my eyes with the mods etc.

but MyBB is free as many of the users have already said.

Tbh there 2 totally different types of scripts. If you were comparing like phpbb3 and mybb then you might have a good debate but comparing vb to mybb is like comparing a F-16 to a biplane

..You can't really compare a script that costs $200 with a free script.
MyBB is awesome for a free script. If it was a paid script, it would be much better than vB, because of skins, mods etc.. Its easy to mod, customize and manage.. awesome board and support.

but vb is around for a long time already and ranks ok too in google.
