Profit.. There is a time-frame when it isn't 'funny' to criticize a religion/country.
The Japanese are going trough hell. Show some damn respect. Mock them when everything/one has been able to pick up their lives again.

About AS:
@ mods:
Try to get a rule written so people know they aren't allowed to link to other webmaster forums. Currently I don't see the harm in posting to other forums simply because its within the rules.

So in 30 days if I say FUCK JAPAN, its okay? Just want to make sure.

Robinfag, America goes through hell daily. We have soldiers dying DAILY to keep our freedom. So anytime someone says FUCK AMERICA, I want a ban. We are still at war and people die daily because of it.

I'm not siding with anybody here, I'm just a little iffy on the whole staff members are human part. Although staff are human, their moderation decisions shouldn't be influenced by emotions. Bans should be made on clear rule violations, not on a whim. Hell some members piss the fuck out of me at my forum but as long as no rules are broken I leave them be. If there is a level of inconsistency problems do arise, that's why bans should never be affected by the staff member's emotions. Nevertheless I'm not stating that Profit's ban was unjustified, I just have a disagreement with that edit statement:P.

True. I agree with the fact that staff members' actions should not be based on emotions. But, consider the fact that Profit was banned by a staff member he regularly tends to piss off. Actually, he tends to piss off a lot of staff around here :P (OK, he hasn't pissed me off yet, but others yes he has). They deal with him all the time. This time round, they just took things a step further and banned him from the chat box. Seriously? Is that reason enough to cause all the drama? I wouldn't think so :P

So, I go to Phun.org (adult community) and I advertise my small forum that I started like a month ago, and I create a thread about it.. that wouldn't be advertising, right? Same goes if some of my members created a thread about it. It's still advertising, trust me.

I'm 100% sure that AdminSpot Staff aren't asking for this, as they're mature and respectful guys. They don't need their site link to be spammed on other forums, they have their community, let it grow naturally.

You all need to chill out, that includes Profit, pi0 and the staff members who are a bit irritated by this behaviour.

I am a staff member on AS myself but I honestly understand why the thread was removed. It isn't against the rules, but it's human nature aka the way things work. You simply cannot advertise any "competing" website.

Like pointed out earlier, it would be weird if you advertised audiobb.com on musicbb.com lol...

Let's all just be friends and don't make a fuzz about it.

@Profit, this is nothing personal against you, but I wouldn't allow someone advertising a competing website from the same niche either if I ran a website.

-Whoo

Edit: As for the shoutbox ban about "fuck japan"...:

It's not a nice thing to say, but banning someone for that shouldn't be done either. Members insulting other objects/countries/members is something that happens every day. If I were to say "screw the jews" in the shoutbox it wouldn't be nice either because they were abused etc during the World War, and I also wouldn't be banned for saying that.

My point here is, we are all mature enough (most of us) to just ignore these kind of shouts in the shoutbox. A warning can and SHOULD be given, and then if it isn't respected then a ban would be justified.

Some see AdminSpot as competition. Some don't like it because they weren't in they weren't part of (or included in) the group that started it. Some don't like it because they think they aren't welcome. And others spam-advertise AS on other places. I guess censorship then becomes normal behavior. And any post/topic/shout then gets seen as undercover spam. We don't care. Nor should anyone else. We'll be out there regardless of what goes down here. But keep it clean on both ends.

A month is better than a day.
Pfag:
It doesn't work like that.
America chose to keep up the war. It isn't a fight for freedom anymore.
If you want to believe it is, go ahead, that's your right. But be realistic.

You're losing respect with al these dumb statements your making.

It's plain simple Profit, you can't go on posting a link to another webmasters forum. If you go to DP and post a wj link, it will get removed.

The rules are a funny thing, there are loopholes in them, just because the rules don't mention something; it doesn't mean it is acceptable. Everyone knows your true agenda, you don't like this website and are simply trying to get people to defect and join another community. I must add, the people that own AdminSpot (Jayfella/Hyperz) are very mature individuals and don't feel the need to "kick us while we're down" so to speak.

You all know the deal, this happens on tons of other forums as well, whenever a forum gets a new owner or a sudden change happens, certain individuals start a movement and try to split the community because they don't like it, like the whole USAWarez.com vs USAWarez.net vs USAWarez.org drama (each claiming to be the true "USAWarez").

The staff are obviously going to be more strict during this period to prevent some silly little war between sites. Tons of people have been banned these past few days for causing tension on purpose, SpookyLady, JmZ, DeLeTeD, Storming, etc. Maybe this seems to some as a big silencing of haters, but whatever. There is a big difference between a hater and somebody that gives negative feedback (hint, they don't make personal attacks at staff).

That's all I'll say on the matter Profit, thread closed.

Oh and one more thing:
