Well i think wordpress is better as it is free and can be managed with better security by any newbie.
For datalife it needs some experience with the coding.

I have both WP and DLE sites so this is from my experience; WP is very good for SEO but when your site will grow it will consume to much CPU and you will need a good dedicated; DLE not so good when it comes to SEO (except the case when you have that last searched terms that freshwap have..not the free one) but is very lite ,it does not consume much resources.
