I am back from a temporary (and unplanned) hiatus. How is everyone? Which I guess brings me to a question to create discussion (hey this is general discussion after all).

Ever had circumstances force you offline for an extended period of time? If so, what?

Mine were quite personal, though everything is fine now. I've never been forced offline before in about a decade =)

Several times, birth of 2 kids, deaths of few friends/relatives, some time in j***, unpaid electricity bills...

hi never been offline for too long but it did happened that i use my pc like for one or two hours may for 1 or 2 week when you busy with real life :S anyway welcome back

Probably when some prick cut the cable outside ( while doing roadworks ), so they had to relay it and it took like 2weeks for them too do it )

umm.. there are many circumstances but I only remember one of them. When I didn't pay my internet bill they disabled my internet cable, the next day I paid the bill but they made me have to wait two weeks to enable it again! kinda of punishment! xD

at last.... best thing I've heard in ages. As a temp job create a copy of this theme and remove the adverts. Then install the mobile detection mod on vb.com and send mobile devices to the advert free version of this site. You can't add add blocker if your on a mobile and that's what's killing it. that simple fix will make a massive difference.

Do you guys not think it's nice to get away from being online for a few days? Your stressed and thinking about it constantly for a day or two and then it's fine and quiet relaxing.

Well I was away for 4, almost 5 months (returned 15 days ago) without internet. But not like I was forced, I was just very busy and was almost never home so.. didn't had the time for internet.
