Cloud Server Question

Hi,

I wanna know could its the same as we get Dedicated server ? i means i contacted them and they said you will manage this we just give you Server as per your configuration. i asked them what is This ? they said its normal server but with "Scalable Utilities".

Monthly $40/month

Please advise me What is the benefit to getting this ? even this are cheaper then VPS with extra tools.

Is there any Negative thing regarding 1&! and or Cloud server ?

I wouldn't go with 1&1 for a server but the general concept of a cloud server is that it's highly redundant. If the hardware it's on goes down it will automatically migrate to a new hypervisor (a powerful server hosting VPS servers) without any downtime. The hardware just 'drops' out of the cloud and can be fixed by a tech. Additionally, with a cloud service you should be able to upgrade/downgrade it at any time (RAM,CPU etc).
