I won the auction for the CUH posted in the VPS offer section http://www.wjunction.com/showthread.php?t=70241
The VPS I won was the following spec:
CPU Usage: Fair
50 GB HDD
250 GB Bandwidth
1 GB Dedicated RAM
1.5 GB Burstable
1 IP Address
So lets start with the Free -m stats. nice and simple.
Thats with my Left 4 Dead 2 server running. sendmail, and httpd.
CPU wise I can see Four of the following:
Download test now. When I first got the server I did these tests:
From My Other Dutch VPS:
My Left 4 Dead 2 install was a 8.1GB download. and took 12mins.
I attempted to re-test the cachefly just now. But the DNS appears to be playing up. Not really a problem for me as I dont use DNS for anything.
Now for upload (using the same VPS I used for the download test)
Now some hard drive benching.
Again they where from when I first got the server.
These ones I've run today:
Compared to my other Dutch VPS:
Anyway I can't say I've had any problems with the VPS (other than that small DNS but I'm sure if I wanted to solve that I can).
In terms of setup time it was pretty quick. Had to get them to change the invoice for the auction but that was fine. Haven't needed to contact support so cannot comment on that. But no using it is surely a good side.
I myself havent had a chance to play on my Left 4 Dead 2 server. I'll be putting a few other bits on the server when I get time. But if anyone wants to try out the L4D2 server:
