Bitshare ranking system

Ranking system is designed to save file host money. It's not fair game. New uploader hard to promote themselves to the next rank. Some people may say that it helps to motivate uploader, but I think it is demotivated.

I'm so tired with Bitshare ranking system. I don't know when will I give up on Bitshare. I got the same download count on Bitshare and Filesonic but Bitshare gives me less money. Because I'm new? I'm new to Filesonic too, but I get more.

I don't need to get rich over night with Bitshare. All I need is a fair game. We work for you. You share your gain to us fairly.


I'm not wondering that why Filesonic became to be the leader of the market so fast. I hope Bitshare to consider their marketing plan again, if they still keep their ranking system like this, at last, there will be only the old player hang with them.

I think you should leave Bitshare and try other filehost like what I did. (I'm on Copper with Bitshare now though I'm old timer :D)

choice is yours.
 
bitshare is a horrible host, they uploaded almost 200gb of my stuff 2 days after the upload and they were posted in almost 40 different threads, stopped using them ever since
 
I'm considering :)

For now, It look like my downloader like Bitshare. Bitshare download count start ramp up. I don't wanna loose my downloader (I'm stick with MU too but upload for some file)

I think, it is because Bitshare is in US. My downloader is Asia so they can download faster than download from EU file host and they don't like Fileserve for long period waiting time.


Yes, I'm still hate ranking system. I hope Bitshare change their mind, remove ranking system and play fair game.

BitShare need to survive too. If you guys play the right strategy, you will get sales but there are some problems with Bitshare.

1) They don't seems to be honest with the way they count download. I have tested download as a free user and the download was not counted. Do you want to put all eggs in Bitshare's basket?

2) They have ranking like hotfile but unlike hotfile, they don't count all download by premium user, only 1 IP per XXX minutes. Affiliates have no motivation to sell accounts. Just imagine you have a legion of followers at your site and all of them buy an account, your earning will be drastically reduced.

So you are fucked if you don't sell account, and if you sell, you are fucked too. So to be fair to yourself and to Bitshare, don't use them.
 
yep, rightly said Gonzo1136. you cannot blame Bitshare 100% if cannot generate any premiums from your files.

the best thing to do if wanna work with ranking system filehost is do not use mirrors for your files or you end up with 0 sales and stuck with Copper.

my advice, just move on to another filehost with no ranking system.
 
Few days ago, I got promote to gold rank, that make me very happy. I've never ask for platinum lifetime rank like the others (that get promote to platinum so easy)

Today my rank move back to bronze, this hurt me so much. First I think that there may be something wrong. So I post reply in the official thread ask Bitshare for look forward it.

Then I found that I'm not alone. There are many platinum rank members got the same issue with me. After view the thread backward, I found that the reason to demote is no sale.

Anyone who cannot sale in Bitshare's proper time will be demote to Bronze rank. (No one know how long this time is, I assume 1 week after get promote)

What ever your current rank is (platinum, gold, silver) if you cannot sale, you will be take down to bronze.


It's very hard to climb up but easy to take down. Bitshare ranking system is look like a gift system, not a reward system. I think I get promote because I open this thread. Bitshare give me a gift, promote me to gold rank with no reason (just like promote people who post 'Hey Bitshare make me lifetime platinum please' no reason, Just a gift)

It's useless to complain that 'why demote me'. When it came, it came with no reason so why not gone with no reason.


I've read what Bitshare wrote about how they pay their bill, why they demote people etc. I understand their point but not agree.

We 'uploader' have no choice. If we want their money we must follow their code. Or give up!!


I've made my decision too.

Hey guys, I have some fun thing to share more.

After my last complain above (26 June), I don't do anything with Bitshare for testing. I don't upload more and didn't delete any file.

Then I got promote again without doing anything, from bronze to silver rank. I still get more download count from my old files.

It's so funny, today I got demote to bronze again :D


Ranking system is bad by itself but ranking with no system is more worst.

mate when bitshare use rate (bronze cooper ...) then she want pay as gd
why bcz its nt depend from the country its now depend due the premium that you generate

let me explain more maybe u get 1000 dl from usa and u dont generate any premium then u ill be cooper

They want money from sale. Every uploader must sale more and more and more. If someday, some week, you cannot sale, you will be taken down.

People will buy premium acc. when they really need that file and they will spend their time to use that premium acc. to get as much file as they can. If there are many file for download, buyer will feel more happy. They may continue that acc.

Force uploader to give up by non-system ranking is bad policy. Soon they will have no new uploader. No new uploader means no new files and then no new buyer.

Before I be an uploader, I'm a downloader. I can download many file from Bitshare. I buy premium acc. too. When the days pass by, Bitshare link is harder to find, there are more Filesonic link, more Wupload link, more Fileserve link, more Uploadstation link.

Now, as an uploader, I understand why it happen like that.
