It's really rough finding places I can advertise on for some of my video lines.
You hate everything about Reddit but are curious about advertising on 4chan, which is basically a way worse Reddit in every way imaginable and filled with alt-right smooth brains and incel types? IDK why you think you it might be worth advertising or promoting your stuff on there considering your opinion of Reddit. They also got hacked recently with a lot of ppl getting doxxed. Honestly, even if advertising on there was worth it, I don't know if it's the kind of crowd you want to be associated with or draw attention from. But who knows, maybe there's a market there for Trump-themed Good Christian porn lmao.
1. I hate ALL social media. Buying advertising in an actual magazine was far more efficient and cheaper

The problem with social media is that I've actually got to waste my time interacting with the assholes on it. AND create specialized content for it.
Time is money and that makes social media expensive.

So either you have the foresight of a goldfish, have no idea about types of people that make up some of the communities you're apparently trying to engage with, are just really desperate, or a mix of these. But yes, you're right. Why should you care about taking money from people known for doxxing, hating women, thinking porn is the literal Devil, rapist mentalities, sending death threats, and other nice extremist type perks. Why not launder some money for the mafia while you're at it?

I purchased my first domain in 1987 (Yes I'm that old) and I've been running my business since the late 90s'
I knew exactly what 'types' of people who make up these communities and what kind of sunshine I need to blow up their asses in order to make a buck.
In the legacy model of advertising I would purchase ads in several magazines.
-a ) It was time efficient -- I could place all my ads for the month within an hour
- b) I only had to change my artwork every few years or buy stock.
- c) I know almost exactly how much my return on investment was going to be.
Contrast that with the bullshit of social media and having to deal with its crap every morning for 2+ hours.

There was no business to be done on the internet outside of very specific corporate and government niches in 87. This was well before the WWW was even a thing and consumer adoption. So why would you have needed a domain name in 87? And why does someone who claims to have IT experience dating back to the 80's have to go to a site like this to ask questions with very easy answers like why don't video hosts here have an autoplay feature like YT (because they rely on user input/clicks to trigger ads) or finding transcription software (one Google search away: https://github.com/rishikanthc/Scriberr). And regardless, I don't see why the date someone registered their first domain is an indication of anything. See, I too have a low tolerance for "dumb". And that's a dumb take.
No, you don't. Maybe you think you do, but you clearly don't. You wouldn't be asking if 4chan is worth advertising on if you did. And you'd know how to play Reddit and actually make it work. Not only that, you'd know how to make it work in a way that requires almost no time investment after the initial setup. Same for social media in general. You might hate it (I do as well), and it's an entirely different method from the old days, but it does work IF you know what you're doing.

A pornographer advertising on a place like 4chan is like a drug dealer advertising on a law enforcement forum. The issue isn't bad people being out there, the issue is target demographic. Btw, just an off-topic FYI, you're generally not gonna get much (if any) usefull answers to the types of questions you're asking here. 99% of the people with actual knowledge became inactive a decade ago. What's left is mostly uploaders and people who's CV consists of "I can install WordPress".
