A guy offering .edu backlinks should I buy?

Hello,

Actually a guy who is a seo freelancer is offering 35 .edu backlinks and I am confused that this topic is whitehat or blackhat so I am posting here.

He told me that all the backlinks will be as comments and 40% will be do follow.
Should I go for it and buy it?

Hey there, Does this person have any reviews up of his previous work, Can you get any samples of the links he gets. Are the links spammed to death from all his other clients or is he always updating his list. Some of the questions I would ask.
