It's pricey indeed. Depends on how you look at it though.

Key Points:
The type of members that would ultimately be driven to your site.
The type of visitor demographics you are receiving.
The Amount of visitors being driven to your site.

When you advertise elsewhere you have no idea where your visitors are coming from. You don't know how many your really going to get.

Sites that charge $100/month for navbar links won't send you 2 days worth of visitors that you will generate from this promotion.
