One good domain or many project domains?

Yeah, a domain only becomes valuable when there’s real work behind it. Otherwise it just turns into another renewal reminder.

Would a first-name .COM help a web project look more serious?

Evan.com was reportedly sold for $400,000 on July 22. A first-name .com is not a keyword domain, but it can feel clean, short, and brandable. For web projects or creator-led platforms, would this type of domain help trust, or is the price only meaningful to domain investors?

Would you build a project on .WEB?

.WEB has finally moved forward after a $135 million auction and almost 10 years of disputes. It sounds suitable for tools, communities, SaaS, content sites, and web services. Would you build a serious project on a good .WEB domain? Or would you wait until pricing and renewals are clear?

One good domain or many project domains?

I meant domains kept for different future projects or niche ideas, not random $10 names that people dream of selling for $10k. And yes, "premium" is used too loosely now. A good domain should have a real use case or buyer pool. Otherwise it is just another renewal.

Would you build a project on a .CO domain?

.CO has been globally available for 16 years and now has more than 3.3 million registrations. There are big reported sales like O.co at $350,000 and ETH.co at $300,000, but those are rare domains. Would you build a serious content site, tool, or startup project on a strong .CO? Or would you...

One good domain or many project domains?

Webmasters often collect domains for future projects. Some get used, but many just keep renewing every year. Would you rather keep one strong domain for a serious project, or many average domains for different ideas?

Would you build on lesser-known travel destination domains?

Travel topics can grow quickly when a small destination starts trending online. A village, island, attraction, or regional travel keyword may look small today but become useful later. Would you build a content site around that kind of domain? Or is it too uncertain unless the destination...

Would you build on a ccTLD or a new gTLD?

.de passing 18 million registrations shows that some local extensions still have strong trust. For a content site or small online project, would you rather use a mature ccTLD or a newer gTLD? Is local trust more useful than having a more flexible extension?

World Cup domains: worth building or too risky?

Event traffic can be huge for a short time. One reported domain flip went from about $13 to $1,500. But the wrong event wording can also bring trademark trouble. fifa.plus was listed for $3,999, and fifa2022.com was reportedly offered for EUR 150,000 before both ended up in WIPO cases. Would...

When is an unused domain still worth keeping?

Some domains are bought for projects, SEO, branding, or resale. Then nothing happens for years. No traffic, no offers, no active site. What makes you still renew one instead of dropping it?

What is the right process for abuse reports with resellers?

Many sites use resellers for hosting, domains, DNS, or email. When an abuse report comes in, the actual issue is not always the domain itself. It could be hosting, mail sending, DNS records, or website content. What process works best: contact the reseller or host first, or act directly when...

    AI search and guide traffic

That sounds about right. The basic guide pages are probably the first ones to lose clicks. If the page only answers "what is DNS" or "what is SSL", AI can do that fast.
