Depends on the volume of your backup. How much do you want to store? If it's in the terabytes or hundreds of gigabytes, you'd have to go with filehosts since sites like dropbox will be too expensive.
>>>>>>but since they closed their affiliate I worry they won't be around for the long term which makes it hard to trust them with backups. >>>>>>
What. You do realize that by closing affiliate programs, they have more spare money to invest into fixing bugs and buying better servers?
Some...
No affiliate program = site is more financially "healthy", not the other way around. Bayfiles are ~2000 on alexa so they're probably doing okay, and it was founded by two of the pirate bay founders.
You could also try Putlocker, they seem to be quite popular (i.e. can afford to host heaps of...
Yes, stick to rapidshare. I have over 11TB backed up there and shared on a small private forum. Upload speeds are decent, download speeds are CONSTANT and over 60MB/s, files don't just disappear or become temporarily unavailable (like most other hosts including MU or FS).
Like other people...
Thanks but no thanks. Don't want to register on your site or use your referral.
Has anyone here stored alot of files on filefactory premium? Say 5TB+? If so please let me know the exact amount.
I want to use them as a mirror for 10TB of stuff on a private forum, but they're not replying to the...
^What makes you think they actually move the file? That would be quite stupid of them if they did, and a terrible waste of space. Giving users the ability to make duplicates, and actually making more copies on their hard-drives? lol no way.
That progress bar is just there to fool you.
Hmm. ifile is ~3000 on alexa and they've been around since 2006, surely they're not that small?
I have 11TB on rapidshare without a problem so far, have transferred TBs in a day as well.
Please let us know if rapidshare does end up taking action in the future.
They're the richest filehost...
6TB is definitely not that unreasonable.. I have over 10TB on rapidshare and bayfiles, haven't had any problems like that.
My view is that they should be honest.. If they can only afford 1TB or 2TB, they should advertise that, like plenty of other sites do (e.g. jumbofiles). Advertising...
Wow that sucks. If they can't afford to offer you 6TB of space, then why does their page say they offer unlimited storage? What they did is definitely wrong, i think you should contact them and tell them to stop advertising unlimited space.
200MB filesize is quite shitty.. zippyshare don't have premium accounts either, how do they make their money?
ifile premium is quite cheap and worth it imo :)
