The best FTP client/program? FlashFXP, WinSCP, CuteFTP etc.

What's your favorite? What's the best FTP program?

I've used FlashFXP for many, many years. I'm actually a beta tester for them as well so I use the latest releases. I wish they had support for tabs, but so be it I guess. Apparently it's coming in the full rewrite. Which is meant to be some time off I heard.

But anyway, the popular ones usually consist of:

• CuteFTP
• FileZilla
• WinSCP
• SmartFTP
• Other... Please specify!

Well i love filezilla free and opensource,,also cute ftp is good when you have to upload to many hosts the same set of files and flash xp when fxp`ing

well kind of yes, to upload files from my pc to server/host i use filezilla,

i use cute ftp on my server to spread to various hosts,

before i used to use flash xp to fxp from my server to various hosts, but now i `m behind a router and the connection keeps dropping,i dont know which port to forward,

as you said you were with them,any help on which port is required for identing is helpful mate.

Gonna give FileZilla a try out. I've been loyal to FlashFXP for so long. Time to consider my other options as tabs would be nice

FileZilla definitely. Even though I've used FlashFXP and Total Commander few years ago. Liked both of them, but now, I got used to FileZilla, and FileZilla will stay probably, as I really hate changes. (still using Windows XP, lol)

CuteFTP was my favorite like 10 years ago. The past few years I have been using FlasxFXP. It has the handling of CuteFTP back in the day when I used HotDog Professional as a html editor lol Now I'm all about windows notepad.

While I use WinSCP/Putty 90% of the time I still voted for FlashFXP. Been using it since I first started as a webmaster and it's a really good application.
