Hi,
I'm making research for best php uploader script and I need some help to make small summary.

The original script was/is open source - http://www.rapidleech.com

Then there was some modyfications like: phpUploader v2.1
http://www.wjunction.com/showthread.php?t=44700
or this modyfication - itleech.com.
And at the end there is sBorg - more customized and pro than those before.

Am I right? Wich one of those above is the best. It's better get the free one and make small changes or buy the sBorg?

If You know any other good script/modyfication please also write it down.

Thanks for help :)

Rapidleech and phpuploader are 2 different scripts, phpuploader is a freeware, and sborg is a paid modified version of phpuploader.

Go with sborg, a lot of people are using it nowadays and seems more automatic than others.

phpUploader is an abandoned project and quite likely no longer functions as expected. Go with sBorg if you're contemplating that category. Rapidleech is different.

And what is the main difference between Rapidleech and Sborg. Both script can be used to download/upload, cut/paste/rar/unrar files etc...

Could someone explain the difference, I can't see them :/

Rapidleech and sBorg are like linux and windows. Both linux and windows can be used to browse, listen to music, etc but they are not same, are they?

sBorg is a new generation downloading/uploading script. phpUploader is the script that inspired sBorg development, however sBorg is not free, so the project generates a small revenue, which inspires us (the devlopers) to continue working on it. sBorg is not based on rapidleech. They are totally different from one another.

sBorg is definitely the way to go if u plan to upload with minimum hassle.

This explains what sBorg is in details:

Source: http://sborg.us/site/about/

sBorg is a php based script that is capable of downloading from several filehosts and uploading the files back to your account in select filehosts.

sBorg is a php based script for uploaders. You enter the filehost or direct links or torrent file that you want to process. Lets say its a movie. You enter the links or upload the .torrent file, select what you want to do and start sBorg. sBorg will download the files from filehosts using your premium accounts that you provide in setup page. If its a torrent that you uploaded, it’ll download the the torrent and move the files to its directory. After download is done it’ll scan what it has downloaded. If its a rar/zip/001 file, it’ll extract/merge the files to get the original file. If its a video file, it’ll take screenshots of the video and upload to imagehost. It’ll also remove files such as .nfo .txt .url and others that are included in the archive. If you have chosen to rename the file, it’ll rename them all and add your desired prefix. Then it’ll grab IMDB information about the movie and start creating your post with screenshot, imdb info, title/description that you procided and so on. After that, depending on your choice, it’ll re-rar/split the completed file and upload back to filehosts into your account. It’ll include the links in the post and finally post on your blog/forums/ucms that you have chosen. It’ll also keep a copy of the post in its log.

Best part is, it does everything on its own so you can close your browser as soon as you hit the “activate” button. It’ll do everything and mail you the report.

Full feature list can be found on the features page here: http://sborg.us/site/features/

Supported filehosts: Fileserve , Rapidshare, Hotfile, Megaupload, NetLoad, FileSonic, Uploaded.to, x7.to, Depositfiles, Duckload, Oron.com, Videobb.com

sBorg was tested and works on the following operating systems:
- Centos 5
- Ubuntu and its derivatives Kubuntu, Puppy Linux, Linux Mint (partial)
- Debian (partial)
- Windows XP
- Windows 2003 Server
- Windows Vista
- Windows 2008 Server
- Windows 7

Hope sBorg can add user registration download function and define download quota for each user and available disk space for each user... Not only use for myself.

If you're advanced webmaster/understand bit of php etc go with phpuploader and modify it because sBorg is decoded. Yes, sBorg is better but everything is decoded so you can't modify a single thing.
