Dear Wj users,

If you choose a webhosting company.

Would you rather have a company that offers:

200MB Webspace
30GB Bandwidth
Price 1$

Or

500 MB WEbspace
Unmetered Bandwidth
Price 1$

Does it sound fishy/fake and could that be a reason you would choose the first one (200mb,30GB)

Vote on the poll and motivate your answer in a reply .

it could be really interesting/helpfull

thx in advance.

No no no, you should edit your thread, of course we want unlimited rather than limited, but would you go to a host that offers unlimited BW for 1$? or does that sound fishy/fake?

hes right you didn't ask the right question

poll should be who would u rather buy for 1$

metered or unlimited

witch does sound over sold

well for 1 dollar sounds fake/fishy, because in all honesty unmetered don't exist as everyone limits you eventually (OVH for example 100mbit unmetered but if you read fine print after 3tb you get guess what limited to 10mbit)

I want a finite number. Even if it something I will likely never reach like 5TB/mo

unmetered just doesn't really exist unless your servers are in certain datacenters in which warez linking isn't even allowed anyways so its a moot point

That's better, personally I'd go for:

200MB Webspace
30GB Bandwidth
Price 1$

I don't trust the cheap unmetered plans, cuz obviously they will have to oversell to make profit resulting of slow performance and problems.

yea and we already had a long discussion on my idea/opinion :D

If you want an unmetered server, just pay the price you're supposed to. OVH caps, cause that's not a reasonable price for unmetered 100mbit (aka, 30tb a month). Their servers are like $70, so kind of unfair to use so much bandwidth. As for free hosting offering unmetered bandwidth - it means 30 clients (assuming 30 are put on 1 server) have unmetered bandwidth. That sure is a lot, especially for a dollar. I'd prefer the 30GB bandwidth plan, but wouldn't go with a $1 host in the first place. You always get what you pay for.

yea i know wasn't arguing with them limiting as I knew when I bought....but on topic I voted metered as it just makes me fell safer lol to know you have this much to use even if it is ridiculous like 5tb

well there are two options onto this, either you dont know how much bandwidth your site is going to use this month its better to take unmetered to be on the safe side, coz if the bandwidth that is metered gets over you need to order more, which is an extra cost and consumes time.

So it depends on what type of site you have, and the number of visitors.
