The upload speed is extremely slow right now... @ddownload.com

@ddownload.com
I totally agree with him.

20 gbps & 10 gbps servers - since yesterday, the upload speed has been 1 MB/s instead of about 20 MB/s per file, and the download speed has been 50 KB/s per file.

The day before yesterday, I was still able to easily achieve upload speeds of 400 to 700 MB/s and download speeds of about 200 to 300 MB/s.

The problem has only been occurring with DDownload since yesterday. Other OCHs are still running at speeds of up to 800 MB/s. Therefore, a local issue can be ruled out.

However, not all transfers are affected, so it cannot be a peering issue that started yesterday, since some transfers continue to reach 10 to 20 MB/s without any problems.

I therefore strongly suspect server issues at DDownload, since, as I said, I can 100% rule out local problems with my servers.

Please fix this quickly, as it’s impossible to work at these speeds.

EDIT:
Currently, all files - without exception - are once again achieving 8 Mb/s or more (upload speed).

I’m using two independent data centers in the netherlands.

Smells like bad datacenter

No offense, but none of my comments were directed at you - they were meant for DDownload.

Regardless, I’d say you should start holding back on making claims like that, because this is one of the largest and most reputable data centers in the world. And if I’m getting nearly 1 GB/s at the same time DDownload is having issues, while another OCH is getting over 700 MB/s on upload, it probably isn’t because of the data center I’m using.
Like I said, no offense meant, but that info was only for DDownload.

Like I said, no offense meant, but that info was only for DDownload - I just don’t want to waste my time with someone who’s using a 1 Gbps server. You might mean well, but it’s just a waste of my time for me.

Im pretty sure they cant change that. This smells pretty sure about bad connection between netherlands and the datacenter which ddownload is using. If you try to download with your mobile phone connection or your own home connection you will see the difference pretty fast.

Its simple math.

I have sometimes also slow upload or download speed. Not only at ddownload. But in other day its better.
Why? I dont know aswell. Maybe the russians attacking :open_mouth:

The upload speed is extremely slow right now, could you please check it? It might be fixed tomorrow @ddownload.com

We checked this throughout the night and unfortunately couldn't find anything. We ran several tests and none of the endpoints showed any issues, neither on the network nor on the server side. Everything is running without problems.

However, I suspect it's the node between your server and ours, nothing more. I think the routing node between your hosting provider and us is or was simply experiencing a disruption.

To investigate this, I need a server IP from you that you're using, otherwise I can't localize the issue. Best to just send it to me here via private message.

Since I'm in the same data center as Jennifer, I don't think it's due to my server or her IP address. I also have a 10 Gbps server now. Of course, I can't rule out that it was due to a network node issue overnight (but I also wrote: "It could certainly have been resolved by then"). As you can see, I wasn't the only one experiencing problems.

Currently, I'm back to my usual 300–700 Mbps upload speed, so everything's great. If it happens again, I'd be happy to send you my IP address.

Since a few days I keep getting logged out every day. I tried two separate devices. It seems that the "Remember me" button (not sure if there ever was one) is gone and the login gets cleared after 24 hours or so. Can you please check? Its not the end of the world but still a bit annoying to have to login again every day in the browser :)

I can confirm that.

(But I already know which brown-noser is going to pop up again and claim he doesn't have that problem :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the hassle. You were right: this was on our side, not in your browsers. An update we shipped on Aug 21 made our session cleanup way too aggressive, so logins were dropped roughly a day after signing in no matter how active you were. That is fixed as of today.

You will have to log in one last time. After that you stay logged in as long as you use the site, and a login only expires after 30 days of no activity. There never was a "Remember me" button by the way, it is simply always on now. We will keep monitoring this on our end, but if anyone still gets logged out after today, please post here.

Since we are at it, the file manager also got a few updates recently:

- Drag and drop: reorder files by grabbing the handle at the start of a row, drop files onto a folder in the sidebar, and move folders into folders
- Selection counts on the move/copy/delete buttons
- Import links (Ultimate): paste ddownload links and import them into your account as your own copies
- Upload a .dlc container (Ultimate) and its links are read out for you
- Cloud extraction of .zip/.rar archives is coming to the web soon. It already works in our mobile apps: https://ddownload.com/go/android / https://ddownload.com/go/ios

You will also see a short "what's new" note in your file manager the next time you open it.

I stopped uploading on this site a few years ago because they reduced the PPD rates. At that time, it was impossible for users like me, whose files don't get massive downloads, to continue. Even though my payout hadn't reached the €50 threshold back then, the admin kindly released whatever amount I had earned. However, I had kept the PPS option turned on. Today, I logged in and noticed that I’ve made two sales! I am definitely resuming my work on this platform now. 😍

Sometimes you remind me an old host which was shut down voluntary. I would be more then happy to know you are same owners, even I cant complain, everything is great with your project DDownload.

I'm asking myself the same question as you. I'm not 100% confident, but I'm pretty sure we're thinking about the same group behind it. But still, some things don't add up. The old group would never use xfilesharing, they always made their own solutions. That's the only thing I had in mind.

And yes, they really improved over the last two years. Keep up the good work, guys.
