Plural domain when the singular is already a live site?

For content sites, tools, or directories, would you still use the plural .com if the singular .com is already active?

Sometimes the plural fits the project better.

But would users still remember or trust the singular first?

I would choose the plural version if it matches the project naturally.

For content websites, directories, and streaming platforms, plural names often make more sense because they represent collections rather than a single item.

In the end, branding, content quality, and marketing have a much bigger impact than singular vs. plural.

Yes, agreed. For a directory or content site, plural can feel natural.

But if the singular is already active, the plural needs clear branding. Otherwise people may still type the version they already know.
