A piece of honest advice: I’d be careful with such arrogant remarks, because you might end up feeling utterly humiliated when you see the earnings of some uploaders in the PPD program and compare them to your own numbers. That kind of arrogance doesn’t go over well. Just my two cents. *super lol*

@Jennifer_Jareau No offense meant, seriously. That wasn't meant as an attack on anyone, so nobody should feel targeted. Sorry if it came across arrogant, that wasn't my intention at all.

I'm just genuinely surprised that PPD still works at all with today's adblock rates. Honest question: how do webmasters actually make money with it these days without stacking 50 popups on their site just to compensate for all the blocked ads?

I could even imagine that hosts like DDownload are partly paying PPD rewards out of their own pocket, because I don't see how it's profitable otherwise. I used to do PPD myself for years, but at some point I gave it up with most filehosters.

If it's still working out for some of you, respect. I'm honestly just curious how the math works.

It always depends on the country where you’re posting. I mentioned this earlier or a few pages back. Jennifer_Jareau and I post in the German sector. PPD (Pay-Per-Download) with DDownload is much more efficient and better there. In Germany, the "Only Premium" option is banned; you aren't allowed to force anyone to buy a premium account, and so on.

Of course, we get sales too, but far fewer than you do internationally. For PPS (Pay-Per-Sale), we use Rapidgator in Germany.

In other countries, there are designated uploaders allowed to post on boards—or only one person is permitted to post a specific movie. I’ve seen this on American and British boards, for example. That’s how it works on many English-language sites: if you post a movie, I’m not allowed to post it again. This means you alone get all the clicks, sales, etc., for that movie.

That’s not the case on German boards; there, 30 people might flood the same thread with their hoster links for the same movie. This means that whoever maintains their uploads the best—keeping them active, etc.—is likely to get the most clicks. Even on main sites, every uploader is allowed to post their version of the movie multiple times.

So, you end up with boards where the same movie is posted by 30 different people. And the clicks (and sales) go to the link that gets clicked on first.

That is EXACTLY why I use PPD with DDownload for the German market. And believe me—as Jennifer_Jareau already said—I generate significantly more revenue on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis than some people make with PPS.

Just stop whining already and finally switch to another OCH. Then there’s still a glimmer of hope that you’ll actually make some money. But if you spend all your time handing out sad emojis and complaining that $4 won’t be paid out, then it’s no wonder you’re not making any money.

And I know that some people on PPD earn your $4 in an hour or less.
