I've been having trouble uploading for a while now, what could be the problem?

Hi, the Vids API upload does not seem to work correctly right now.

The regular API endpoints like account/info, upload/server, and file/list return 200 OK. But the actual chunk upload to https://vids.st/ajax/upload_chunk.php fails on the first chunk for multiple files.

Example error:

HTTP 422 during chunk upload (Chunk 1/..., Start 0, Bytes 4194304, ChunkSize 4194304): {"message":"Chunk upload failed"}
The same happens with smaller chunks. Sometimes the first chunk just hangs, and 0-byte files with processing status are still created in the account.

Could you please check and fix the API chunk upload?

I added several videos to my website, but I found the server unstable and sometimes the videos I uploaded turned out to be pornographic videos.

Due to these problems, I am leaving the platform, but I want to thank them for providing the service. I wish much success to those involved.

Check again. Is fixed. Chunk upload was updated to max.

Which problems exactly?

Try again. There was deployed new server.

Okay, the API now seems to be working, and I can successfully upload files. Thank you for fixing the issue.

However, the files are still not always displayed quickly or correctly in the file manager. I do not have HLS enabled and upload only .mp4 files. Nevertheless, their status remains “Encoding” even though they are immediately playable.

I therefore assume that the original files are already available while thumbnails, metadata, or other processing tasks are still being completed in the background. Does the “Encoding” status also include these tasks? If so, a more accurate status might be helpful.

There also seems to be an issue with the file list after refreshing the browser. After a reload, all files sometimes disappear from the file manager. The list only reappears after refreshing the page two or three times.

Could you please take another look at these issues?

I am also facing the same problems.

Encoding take time according size of file.
That’s right—after a few hours, the videos finally finished encoding!

Currently, for me here in Brazil, the platform experiences significant instability between 6 PM and 11 PM (GMT-3), which prevents both uploading and viewing content.

Also, I noticed that the encoding process only preserves the original resolution; it doesn't offer lower-resolution options or multiple audio tracks. Is this something planned for a future update?

I’ve really enjoyed using your platform—overall, it works very well for me, despite the constant 520 errors during the times mentioned.

I’d also like to know some specifics regarding uploads: what is the chunk size, how many simultaneous uploads are allowed, and what is the token expiration time?

I’ve been handling uploads directly via a custom tool that utilizes your API, fully implementing it according to the documentation.

Hey, the website is down. But the operator's response times are anything but exemplary.

Still no uploads possible. Will this be fixed soon?

Fresh upload tokens are accepted initially, but become invalid during larger chunked uploads. The API then returns {"message":"Invalid upload token"} before the upload is complete. We follow the documented token flow and request a new token for every upload. Please check the token lifetime and persistence of chunked upload sessions.
