cloudflare will be have little problem with spider crawel and the sitemap submit
try sitll check it..coz this my experience ..when i put cloudflare my sitemap status submit not read but when i not use it then sitemap go back ok

but how i know that i have ddos attack?

You know by looking at the connections each ip has .Normal is 50 connections, but when 1 ip starts to hae connections of up to 10000, you know its an attack.

Also there is no real protection for 1gb stregth ddos attack l,other than a nullroute by your ISP/DC or go to a company that will filter the traffic for you .(Very expensive.)

@caloss, wrong. The DDoS attacks of today work with a swarm of attacks from numerous IP's.

@BeitarJerusalem, wrong. There is some expensive shit out there which works.

I have heard too many good things about cloudflare stopping or alerting for attacks. The control panel has a very efficient user friendly layout. Great blocking features for spammers as well. Don't overlook it.

Cloudflare is not for ddos attacks, it may prevent them but if you get a decent amount of them or one large one, expect to get kicked very quickly, another thing is if you did research on the company they are affiliated or are apart of the government which monitors all sites traffic, which they could do if they really wanted to be careful.

Not to mention I can get your ip address when your on cloudflare so you can't hide from me.

True ddos protection on a 1gbit line, will vary from $500-30k(+ setup fee), some will filter other things won't and some will filter all.

It's worth getting a true ddos protected provider vs proxy one's because they cost more, hardware is too expensive to buy it can cost in the upwards of $300,000 and not only that but you need the bandwidth to back it up.

All in all if it's happening a lot you should invest $500 or so in a server + decent ddos protection, it could just depend on the PPS rate as most places will go by that vs the total gbit/s
