Hi guys, anyone familiar with yoast Seo plugin?

I post like 1000+ posts every month and yoast has 1000 limit/sitemap. Can i increase the limit to like 5000+ bcoz i dont want 100's of sitemap submitted to google webmaster in 1 or 2 years.

Plz advice or 1 more thing, can i directly submit my sites sitemap_index_xml file to google? It has all sitemaps in it.

I think you can switch off Yoasts sitemap submisison them use this tool to create your own site map to submit through Google webmaster tools xml-sitemaps (dot) com

Yes, there are other sitemap plugins which generate sitemaps without limitations.

Yes, you will have to submit sitemap_index.xml to Google Webmaster Tools.

i know this is an old thread
but the easiest way is just make a list of your url and paste it on notepad, save it as .xml and upload to your public html, submit the sitemap .xml to webmaster
list the sitemap you make in robots.txt
for example:
sitemap: filename1.xml
sitemap: filename2.xml

google can read and index it
