As you may know or may not know im the server admin for BuzzHost , and I'd like to discuss an issue with you guys today.

Where would you like to be hosted ? , We rarely got a choice when selecting a hosted location so help Hosting Providers serve you better and have a vote on what country you'd like for your site to be on.

Post in this format :

I wont rate them on 1st 2nd or 3rd basis. But i would like to be hosted @
NL ~ Netherlands
RU ~ Russia
HK ~ Hong Kong

Well, noobs like to pick some countries that they don't know shit about, just because they think it's cool to be hosted in some foreign country. But in reality, it's not. Site would load slow, speed would suck for the users who are far away from that country, network issues are common, etc, etc.

I'm sticking to the USA, Netherlands isn't so bad either.

1. Sweden (no idea why nobody has suggested this)
2. Netherlands (although popular sites are usually targeted by Brein)
3. Lithuania (they seem to have a reasonably stable infrastructure)

Only three countries, Eritrea, Turkmenistan and San Marino, are said by the U.S. Copyright Office to have no copyright protection either for authors within their borders or for foreign works.

"Offshore hosting" is BS.

1. USA
2. USA
3. USA

1st - sweden (I agree with okone, great location for warez - look at oneddl, rlslog, tpb etc..)
2nd - ukraine (warez friendly - quite a few torrent sites are there e.g. extratorrent)
3rd - spain (law permits linking, but slow site loading generally - site in .es = 1337x.org)

USA only gives good speed to the US - .nl/.de will give best world wide speed on average

Germany, for legal sites. For warez, I don't know, NL maybe, or if it's a more noticable one, Estonia, Ukraine, Russia.

For everyone saying HK is a nice place to be hosted... it's not. You get a 1GBPS connection to HK and probably mainland China, but to the outer world, the connection will be ~1MBPS. They have a really bad infrastructure.
