Video play issue?

I have a clone script of image website and every thing is working fine but when i put youtube video link in post it show up on main page with a thumbnail but when i click the video it plays on the home page behind the images and doesnot open post in a new page as images posts do.

can any one help me up in solving this issue?

do you mean you just want to show thumbnail on home page without youtube ( I suppose you are talking about excerpt )?

or you want youtube video as well but don't want it to behind the image?
