I was ripped off by SNTHostings.com

I had ordered a custom VPS for $70 after speaking with them via Skype. The Custom VPS was to provide up to 50TB bandwidth usage per month on a shared gigabit internet connection. After troubleshooting with him over Skype for 4 days we were able to get it up to about 50Mbps.

I asked repeatedly, what type of RAID was his host on, he didn't even know the answer to this. Eventually after hounding him repeatedly on Skype he discovered that the KVM virtual disk controller type was IDE, he switched it to SCSI (yes, SCSI) which yielded a temporary increase in bandwidth to about 100Mbps (still not capable of 50TB a month). At this point he was completely stumped for any technical knowledge and he provided me the Skype user name of a contact at his hosting company, host-palace.com

The guy at host-palace.com was more interested in selling me a VPS from host-palace than to fix the VPS I had already been sold. He then explained to me that SNTHostings.com had oversold the VPS to me and showed me screenshots of my VPS alongside another VPS on the same host, the other VPS had been completely saturating his gigabit internet and he wasn't using any traffic shaping on the VPS so basically my VPS would never be able to perform what I had been sold on.

A few days later of going back and forth with the Host-Palace.com guy and I realized that all he wanted to do was talk about VMs rather than actually sell me one. I finally gave him a deadline to set a VM up for me (and I offered to pay ahead of time) and he failed to meet this deadline so I threw in the towel completely on both these guys and ended up with ParaBoxes.com where I am very happy.

My next step was to cancel the Paypal payment because the VPS was absolutely worthless. SNTHostings told me they would refund me once I submitted to cancel. Well unfortunately this escalated to a PayPal dispute which the response is displayed below (yes the alleged screenshot links are dead links):

  • hi, we had chat on skype as well as on my site tickets and he ordered a CUSTOMIZED VPS for 70$ and also accepted my sites TOShttp://www.snthostings.com/tos.htmlthat there will NO REFUND for Customized VPS there were some problems in VPS whcih took some while to be fixed..approx 4 days for which i have given the buyer 3 days extra on VPS as its been fixed and transfer rate and every proof been given to the Buyer..So i dont see any point of refundingas i fulfiled all the commitments and given extra time..Am a mid man here bought good from 1 and sold it to other..so please help me
  • 5/1/2013 02:20 EDT - Seller: download speed 33MB/s http://prntscr.com/12xc70
  • 5/1/2013 02:06 EDT - Seller: download speed 33MB/s http://prntscr.com/12xc70
  • 5/1/2013 02:01 EDT - Seller: I do accept that it was nt working nicely at first, but then it was fixed and plus 3DAYS were added on the VPS as it is working @ 98MB/s proof -http://prntscr.com/12xbqrthe server is fine and 3 days were extra given, so NO REFUND

I know its very taboo around here to use the word "scam", I'd like to know if anyone thinks this scenario warrants labeling SNTHostings.com as a "scam host":

*Fails To Deliver Goods Sold
*Refuses to support product once sold, eventually gives contact info of another company to provide me support.
*Assures me that I can cancel if he can't get the issue resolved.
*Tells me that since I didn't back out in first 72 hours (I backed out on 4th day) that I could not receive a refund.

I'd be more than willing to post the entirety of my Skype Communications with sonuyos if anyone would prefer to fact-check my statements.

Feel free to chime in with your thoughts, does this behavior warrant the label of a scam host?

And does anyone have any tips for how I could get my $70 back that was stolen from me?

[4/27/2013 8:11:08 PM] Eddie Johnson: Hey bud, just wanted to let you know that I finally got everything installed on the VPS, however it is acting a little laggy.
[4/27/2013 8:11:50 PM] Eddie Johnson: So I'm trying to pinpoint the bottleneck to fix it. Therefore I was just wondering, exactly what type of storage array is the VM's virtual disk stored on?
[4/27/2013 8:12:23 PM] Eddie Johnson: Is this like a RAID array or just a single disk? and how many other VMs are actively being used where this VM is stored?
[4/27/2013 8:15:23 PM] Eddie Johnson: because I'm trying to just simply unrar a couple files and the disk's I/O is reporting 100% utilization which obviously is just not gonna work as it makes the whole system useless
[4/27/2013 8:16:49 PM] Eddie Johnson: Wow
[4/27/2013 8:16:54 PM] Eddie Johnson: I just killed the unrar process
[4/27/2013 8:17:06 PM] Eddie Johnson: its still at 100% disk I/O usage, something is clearly not setup correctly
[4/27/2013 9:36:41 PM] Eddie Johnson: so i rebooted and without anything running i ran
[4/27/2013 9:37:06 PM] Eddie Johnson: hdparm -Tt /dev/sda1
[4/27/2013 9:38:13 PM] Eddie Johnson: Here are the results along side some other ubuntu systems I operate
[4/27/2013 9:39:36 PM] Eddie Johnson: snthostings: Timing cached reads: 2387.1 MB/sec | Timing buffered disk reads: 1.04MB/sec
[4/27/2013 9:40:14 PM | Edited 9:41:25 PM] Eddie Johnson: RAID5: Timing cached reads: 10473.82 MB/sec | Timing buffered disk reads: 133.51 MB/sec
[4/27/2013 9:41:56 PM] Eddie Johnson: So as far as I can tell, there is something extremely wrong about the way the hypervisor is configured/set up
[4/27/2013 9:43:57 PM] Eddie Johnson: 1MB/sec disk read rate is only going to allow us to download 331GB over the course of a month
[4/27/2013 9:44:32 PM] Eddie Johnson: which unfortunately means this VM is completely useless to us at the moment
[4/27/2013 9:45:59 PM] Eddie Johnson: let me know when your around, I'm willing to give you a hand with figuring out the issue, I've administered petabyte sized hypervisors in previous jobs so I typically can pinpoint and resolve these types of issues within minutes
[4/27/2013 10:44:13 PM] Eddie Johnson: Let me know when you have returned, unfortunately I have to make a decision here pretty quick on this because I've been trying to make this system work for 3 days now
[4/27/2013 10:45:09 PM] Eddie Johnson: and I have to start looking for another host if you aren't able to support the basic needs which I initially mentioned to you...
[4/27/2013 10:45:37 PM] Eddie Johnson: 1 MB/s for disk read/write speed is a joke, even a decade ago it would have been a joke
[4/28/2013 12:13:24 AM] sonuyos: Ohh sry I was sleeping just gt up
[4/28/2013 12:13:31 AM] sonuyos: Leme c into it
[4/28/2013 12:14:00 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 12:14:24 AM] Eddie Johnson: the speed tests i ran were decent, up to 300mbps for transfer rates
[4/28/2013 12:14:38 AM] Eddie Johnson: but the local hard disk is just reallly reallly slow
[4/28/2013 12:14:44 AM] Eddie Johnson: so as soon as I try to do something it just locks up
[4/28/2013 12:14:48 AM] sonuyos: Its Sunday so that's y its hard to contact dc
[4/28/2013 12:16:21 AM] Eddie Johnson: yeah, like just a simple "unrar e filename.rar" and I'm looking at 100% usage
[4/28/2013 12:17:24 AM] Eddie Johnson: theres lots and lots of available cpu/ram so the only thing I can find that is making this VM useless is the hard disk
[4/28/2013 12:18:46 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 12:18:56 AM] Eddie Johnson: well tell me, what type of hardware is this vm hosted on?
[4/28/2013 12:19:04 AM] Eddie Johnson: like what kinda raid?
[4/28/2013 12:19:06 AM] sonuyos: But its Netherlands server
[4/28/2013 12:19:25 AM] Eddie Johnson: the country its hosted from isn't a concern with its speed
[4/28/2013 12:19:37 AM] Eddie Johnson: we're not talking remote speed here, this is local disk I/O
[4/28/2013 12:19:46 AM] sonuyos: No I mean its straight from our own NEW RACK
[4/28/2013 12:19:53 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 12:20:03 AM] Eddie Johnson: so what kinda RAID do you have in your rack mount server
[4/28/2013 12:20:54 AM] sonuyos: I dont really remember as I dont manage servers...my partner does....for me its only seedbox.... I will contact him and dc asap
[4/28/2013 12:21:05 AM] Eddie Johnson: umm ok
[4/28/2013 12:21:15 AM] Eddie Johnson: do you have access to the rackmount?
[4/28/2013 12:21:36 AM] sonuyos: Naah. ...m nt much into servers....
[4/28/2013 12:22:08 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok umm
[4/28/2013 12:22:19 AM] Eddie Johnson: your name was set as a username on the VM so I figured you set it up
[4/28/2013 12:22:20 AM] sonuyos: He knows wat he is doin....if u hav any other enquiry just ask I have forwarded all ur problem s already
[4/28/2013 12:22:45 AM] Eddie Johnson: I kinda need to talk to someone who can tell me whats going on here
[4/28/2013 12:22:47 AM] sonuyos: I settled Ubuntu
[4/28/2013 12:22:57 AM] Eddie Johnson: b/c I've been spending about 3 days on this already
[4/28/2013 12:23:04 AM] Eddie Johnson: i ahd asked for ubuntu 12.04
[4/28/2013 12:23:06 AM] Eddie Johnson: and 12.10 was installed
[4/28/2013 12:23:10 AM] sonuyos: Well leme get in touch with him
[4/28/2013 12:23:15 AM] Eddie Johnson: and 13.04 was released yesterday
[4/28/2013 12:23:32 AM] Eddie Johnson: so the fact that 12.04 (which is lts) wasn't originally installed consumed my entire day
[4/28/2013 12:23:37 AM] Eddie Johnson: as i had to do the upgrade
[4/28/2013 12:24:17 AM] Eddie Johnson: just tell me yes or no, do you have access to the machine in which you "settled ubuntu" from ?
[4/28/2013 12:24:22 AM] sonuyos: I must have mistakebly done wrong iso
[4/28/2013 12:24:36 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 12:24:44 AM] Eddie Johnson: so then if you were able to select the iso then you have access
[4/28/2013 12:24:58 AM] sonuyos: I did it from solusm
[4/28/2013 12:26:42 AM] Eddie Johnson: how many users do you have showing in your Solus Virtual Manager?
[4/28/2013 12:26:46 AM] Eddie Johnson: sorry i meant tos ay
[4/28/2013 12:26:54 AM] Eddie Johnson: how many virtual machines do you have displayed in your Solus Virtual Manager?
[4/28/2013 12:27:30 AM] sonuyos: On the server u r on..it has only 2
[4/28/2013 12:27:36 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 12:27:54 AM] Eddie Johnson: http://www.iriehost.com/images/iriehost-solusvm-panel.jpg
[4/28/2013 12:28:05 AM] Eddie Johnson: there is a screenshot of Solus Virtual Manager
[4/28/2013 12:28:22 AM] Eddie Johnson: What does it display for disk information?
[4/28/2013 12:30:40 AM] Eddie Johnson: and What does it display for an Operating System? Is it CentOS ?
[4/28/2013 12:31:58 AM] Eddie Johnson: Are you there? I really need you to respond to me
[4/28/2013 12:34:50 AM] Eddie Johnson: OK well if your not going to talk to me
[4/28/2013 12:35:02 AM] Eddie Johnson: can you tell me the info so I can speak with your partner?
[4/28/2013 12:36:55 AM] Eddie Johnson: I see your testing the guest VM from 109.202.109.26
[4/28/2013 12:37:44 AM] Eddie Johnson: as well as your local IP 117.216.21.156
[4/28/2013 12:48:08 AM] Eddie Johnson: Just FYI - I don't ask for anything beyond simple access to a system from my hosts. When I discover that my hosts systems aren't working and I hae to report it, playing the ignore game with me isn't something I just sit back and tolerate.
[4/28/2013 12:49:25 AM] Eddie Johnson: If you don't know what your doing then that is fine, I will help you
[4/28/2013 12:56:31 AM] Eddie Johnson: .
[4/28/2013 12:57:13 AM] sonuyos: sry was out...
[4/28/2013 12:57:15 AM] sonuyos: jst came
[4/28/2013 12:57:19 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 12:57:27 AM] sonuyos: its ubuntu
[4/28/2013 12:57:33 AM] sonuyos: brb....
[4/28/2013 12:57:40 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 1:07:32 AM] Eddie Johnson: This isn't Ubuntu either by the way. I've already proven that. Let me know what your server's hard drive configuration is, if you don't know then do this:
[4/28/2013 1:07:43 AM] Eddie Johnson: 1. Click "Console" button displayed on this screenshot: http://www.iriehost.com/images/iriehost-solusvm-panel.jpg
[4/28/2013 1:08:14 AM] Eddie Johnson: 2. Enter in the command lsscsi and post the results of that command here.
[4/28/2013 1:08:21 AM] Eddie Johnson: 3. Enter in the command cat /proc/mdstat and post the results of that command here.
[4/28/2013 1:21:16 AM] Eddie Johnson: How much longer do I have to wait for this system to be useable? And I'm not going to be charged for these days right?
[4/28/2013 1:25:30 AM] Eddie Johnson: alright well
[4/28/2013 1:26:29 AM] Eddie Johnson: At this point I'm going to have to say we need to have a functional system by 12:00 your time. I'll give you one hour to fix this, I'll even help you if that is what it takes.
[4/28/2013 1:27:10 AM] Eddie Johnson: Otherwise we're going to terminate, unfortunately we have no choice as we have already lost three days trying to fix your mistakes up to this point :\
[4/28/2013 1:43:19 AM] sonuyos: just giv me more 48Hrs...if nt then terminate
[4/28/2013 1:44:28 AM] Eddie Johnson: I really can't sit around for 48 hours if your not going to tell me what is going on
[4/28/2013 1:45:15 AM] Eddie Johnson: The last 3 days have already been a huge impact on me, I lost a whole weekend sitting here trying to make something work that wasn't capable of being fixed
[4/28/2013 1:45:38 AM] sonuyos: if only u had told me yesterday...i could hav connected easily
[4/28/2013 1:45:39 AM] Eddie Johnson: listen I completely understand if your not fully aware of the host system but I am willing to help you
[4/28/2013 1:46:25 AM] sonuyos: i understand...listen i dont take care of servers....my guy/partner is offline...he will come online hopefully in nxt 1-2hr...and i will talk to him regardin the problem
[4/28/2013 1:46:37 AM] sonuyos: Problem is jst the diskread rite?
[4/28/2013 1:47:06 AM] Eddie Johnson: yes, and its a problem that I would be more understanding about if you could simply perform the steps I laid out with screenshot above
[4/28/2013 1:47:34 AM] Eddie Johnson: the information im asking for is not something that is "confidential", in fact it is the type of information that is normally displayed on hoster's sites
[4/28/2013 1:48:10 AM] Eddie Johnson: I just want to know if this VM is even being run from a RAID array
[4/28/2013 1:48:23 AM] Eddie Johnson: because right now it seems to just be running on a single very slow hard disk
[4/28/2013 1:49:09 AM] sonuyos: i understand the concern...
[4/28/2013 1:49:17 AM] sonuyos: but there is no console option
[4/28/2013 1:49:23 AM] sonuyos: thats y i want u to wait
[4/28/2013 1:49:54 AM] Eddie Johnson: OK, well then you can just tell me that rather than make me sit here
[4/28/2013 1:50:30 AM] sonuyos: i am out....and my stupid mobile is nt havin network,,,thats y all this problem
[4/28/2013 1:50:50 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 1:51:52 AM] Eddie Johnson: well I'll be searching for a new host so I guess at this point if you can resolve the issue by the time I find another host then I won't terminate, but I do plan on finding someone else as quickly as possible at this point
[4/28/2013 1:53:46 AM] sonuyos: its Sunday, thats y its a bit slow here....
[4/28/2013 1:53:52 AM] sonuyos: even our DC is close (think)
[4/28/2013 1:54:22 AM] Eddie Johnson: I understand
[4/28/2013 1:54:50 AM] Eddie Johnson: I just need a very basic question to be answered which anyone who is selling hosting services should have readily available
[4/28/2013 1:55:03 AM] Eddie Johnson: The hard drive configuration of your server should not be something you have to ask someone about
[4/28/2013 1:55:34 AM] Eddie Johnson: So I'm sorry but the fact that the datacenter is closed on Sundays is irrelevant to the issue we have here unfortunately
[4/28/2013 1:56:45 AM] Eddie Johnson: If you look at any of the other hosting companies on wjunction you'll see right there in the posts usually "RAID 10" or whatever it is
[4/28/2013 1:57:09 AM] Eddie Johnson: If you can't give me a straight answer to such a simple question then I can't take a risk doing business with you
[4/28/2013 1:58:56 AM] sonuyos: Wait for 2hr .I will giv u my partbers detail he will answer everything to u....am just the person who sell seexboxes he sell servers
[4/28/2013 1:59:12 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok
[4/28/2013 2:00:24 AM] Eddie Johnson: Itll probably take me about that long before I find another host so chances are if he can resolve the issue quickly when he is able to speak with me then I'll continue
[4/28/2013 2:00:32 AM] Eddie Johnson: either way, I am already looking for someone else
[4/28/2013 2:11:33 AM] sonuyos: wats ur pass?
[4/28/2013 2:11:53 AM] Eddie Johnson: to what?
[4/28/2013 2:11:59 AM] sonuyos: root
[4/28/2013 2:12:55 AM] sonuyos: ?
[4/28/2013 2:13:26 AM] Eddie Johnson: resetting it right now, sorry its just very slow
[4/28/2013 2:13:37 AM] sonuyos: to wat pass?
[4/28/2013 2:15:23 AM] Eddie Johnson: root
Password123
[4/28/2013 2:18:36 AM] sonuyos: 123 or Password123
[4/28/2013 2:18:42 AM] Eddie Johnson: Password123
[4/28/2013 2:21:29 AM] sonuyos: i just got 94MB/s write speed in whole server
[4/28/2013 2:22:40 AM] Eddie Johnson: iostat -x 1
[4/28/2013 2:22:57 AM] Eddie Johnson: thats the result of simply running unrar on 1 archive
[4/28/2013 2:24:07 AM] Eddie Johnson: which by the way has been running now for about 1 hour (should take about 2 minutes)
[4/28/2013 2:24:43 AM] Eddie Johnson: Just curious as to where you got the 94MB/s from? Did you do internet speed test?
[4/28/2013 2:35:46 AM] sonuyos: No disk read on the server
[4/28/2013 2:36:06 AM] Eddie Johnson: with what command?
because the last time I ran it it was around 750Kbps
[4/28/2013 2:37:12 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok i see
[4/28/2013 2:37:15 AM] Eddie Johnson: you ran dd
[4/28/2013 2:37:50 AM] sonuyos: .m sayin from server
[4/28/2013 2:38:45 AM] Eddie Johnson: well i see you ran a test on the Guest VM with dd
[4/28/2013 2:38:48 AM] Eddie Johnson: hdparm -Tt /dev/sda
[4/28/2013 2:39:00 AM] Eddie Johnson: thats a more efficient way to test disk I/O
[4/28/2013 2:39:07 AM] Eddie Johnson: wait, you said 94MB/s on the server?
[4/28/2013 2:39:16 AM] Eddie Johnson: were you talking the guest vm or the host?
[4/28/2013 2:39:29 AM] sonuyos: 5mins
[4/28/2013 2:39:35 AM] sonuyos: Rebooti ur vps
[4/28/2013 2:48:15 AM] sonuyos: Check nw pls
[4/28/2013 2:48:58 AM] Eddie Johnson: lol
[4/28/2013 2:49:03 AM] Eddie Johnson: root@seed:~# lsscsi
[1:0:0:0] cd/dvd QEMU QEMU DVD-ROM 0.12 /dev/sr0
[4/28/2013 2:49:15 AM] Eddie Johnson: oic
[4/28/2013 2:49:23 AM] Eddie Johnson: you changed the way it was moutned
[4/28/2013 2:49:58 AM] Eddie Johnson: its better than before but still pretty slow, running a few tests to see
[4/28/2013 2:52:27 AM] Eddie Johnson: yea
[4/28/2013 2:52:31 AM] Eddie Johnson: it got 7MB/sec that time
[4/28/2013 2:52:45 AM] Eddie Johnson: in comparison on another similar ubuntu system I'm seeing 72MB/sec
[4/28/2013 2:54:13 AM] sonuyos: nw?
[4/28/2013 2:54:25 AM] Eddie Johnson: root@seed:~# hdparm -Tt /dev/vda1

/dev/vda1:
Timing cached reads: 11624 MB in 2.00 seconds = 5815.65 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 40 MB in 3.08 seconds = 13.00 MB/sec
[4/28/2013 2:54:36 AM] Eddie Johnson: same command run on another server:
[4/28/2013 2:54:40 AM] sonuyos: change pass bck
[4/28/2013 2:54:50 AM] Eddie Johnson: root@vps:/share/# hdparm -Tt /dev/sda1

/dev/sda1:
Timing cached reads: 19836 MB in 2.00 seconds = 9926.05 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 218 MB in 3.02 seconds = 72.10 MB/sec
[4/28/2013 2:55:08 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok, its back to Password123
[4/28/2013 2:55:23 AM] Eddie Johnson: that was quicker this time :)
[4/28/2013 2:56:08 AM] Eddie Johnson: its at least functional right now where it wasn't before. my concern however is once i start up some processes that its gonna hard lock righta way
[4/28/2013 3:09:16 AM] Eddie Johnson: yeah, like jdownloader just took a solid 10 minutes to open up
[4/28/2013 3:11:48 AM] sonuyos: now?
[4/28/2013 3:12:04 AM] Eddie Johnson: i just did a killall -9 java
[4/28/2013 3:12:05 AM] Eddie Johnson: let me reopen it
[4/28/2013 3:12:32 AM] Eddie Johnson: lol, ok so my remote connection just dropped
[4/28/2013 3:14:04 AM] Eddie Johnson: its trying to reconnect now, never seen it take this long b4
[4/28/2013 3:14:29 AM] sonuyos: hmm
[4/28/2013 3:14:45 AM] Eddie Johnson: there we go, its connecting, but very slowly
[4/28/2013 3:16:09 AM] Eddie Johnson: still loading
[4/28/2013 3:16:21 AM] Eddie Johnson: this is still not viable for us to use right now
[4/28/2013 3:16:48 AM] Eddie Johnson: what type of hard disk array is this VM's virtual hard disk stored on?
[4/28/2013 3:18:02 AM] sonuyos: need to reboot whole server
[4/28/2013 3:18:09 AM] Eddie Johnson: because that seems to be the root of the issue here. I mean CPU and memory are very low in usage
[4/28/2013 3:18:29 AM] Eddie Johnson: go ahead, this VM isn't doing anything anyways :)
[4/28/2013 3:36:48 AM] Eddie Johnson: now im getting about 120MB/sec
[4/28/2013 3:37:00 AM] Eddie Johnson: which is what we need
[4/28/2013 3:37:11 AM] Eddie Johnson: let me run a few things to see if we're out of the woods on this
[4/28/2013 3:37:12 AM] sonuyos: so all good nw?
[4/28/2013 4:03:18 AM] sonuyos: everythin runin fine?
[4/28/2013 4:03:31 AM] Eddie Johnson: so far so good
[4/28/2013 4:04:04 AM] Eddie Johnson: seems to be much better, not going to say we're all set until I can really open the floodgates which im almost ready to do
[4/28/2013 4:04:20 AM] sonuyos: :O
[4/28/2013 4:04:28 AM] Eddie Johnson: just curious as to what changes were made? I see theres no /dev/sda1 and its /dev/vda1 which is what i normally see on vps systems
[4/28/2013 4:05:07 AM] sonuyos: hehe...
[4/28/2013 4:05:10 AM] sonuyos: let it go
[4/28/2013 4:35:06 AM] Eddie Johnson: so far so good I have to say at this point I think this has been resolved
[4/28/2013 4:36:59 AM] sonuyos: the problem was with ubuntu
[4/28/2013 4:37:04 AM] sonuyos: fucked my brain
[4/28/2013 4:37:13 AM] sonuyos: so small
[4/28/2013 4:37:25 AM] Eddie Johnson: just curious as to what it was exactly
[4/28/2013 4:37:29 AM] sonuyos: was kept on IDE instead of vitrio
[4/28/2013 4:38:00 AM] Eddie Johnson: ok so its paravirtualized now
[4/28/2013 4:38:28 AM] Eddie Johnson: I personally use ACHI SATA (not sure if thats an option for you)
[4/28/2013 4:38:36 AM] Eddie Johnson: but I run virtualbox for my hypervisor
[4/28/2013 4:38:50 AM] Eddie Johnson: KVM is just as good as vbox though
[4/28/2013 4:39:34 AM] Eddie Johnson: In my last company we had a 25 Petabyte Storage cloud that held ~1,000,000 VirtualBox VMs
[4/28/2013 4:39:54 AM] Eddie Johnson: and we had kickced around switching to KVM at one point, but in the end we didn't only because we didn't see any advantages in changing since they were about equal
[4/28/2013 5:29:12 AM] sonuyos: Ohh
[4/28/2013 7:53:26 AM] Eddie Johnson: server is suddenly not responding to pings
[4/28/2013 7:53:50 AM] Eddie Johnson: I really do not want to hear that it was shut off either
[4/28/2013 4:52:59 PM] Eddie Johnson: Still waiting to hear why the VM was rebooted on me earlier today
[4/28/2013 4:53:09 PM] Eddie Johnson: also this thing can't upload at any useable speed
[4/28/2013 4:53:22 PM] Eddie Johnson: so really man, this thing isn't functional for me
[4/28/2013 5:03:54 PM] Eddie Johnson: I really hope this VM doesn't have vitrio-net NIC configured
[4/28/2013 5:04:26 PM] Eddie Johnson: If you can't fix this then I guess I'm going to go back to finding someone else
[4/28/2013 5:04:35 PM] Eddie Johnson: so reply if you think you can have it fixed
[4/28/2013 5:04:48 PM] Eddie Johnson: if you do before I find another hosting service then you can save the sale
[4/29/2013 12:18:11 PM] sonuyos: i gav u a id rite
[4/29/2013 1:28:30 PM] Eddie Johnson: Yes, sent him a message a few moments ago, thank you
[4/29/2013 9:56:07 PM] Eddie Johnson: uploading at 580k
[4/29/2013 9:56:10 PM] Eddie Johnson: not cool
[4/30/2013 4:11:06 AM] *** Eddie Johnson blocked sonuyos ***
[4/30/2013 5:46:39 PM] Eddie Johnson: why did you think it would be ok to sell me a server to transfer 50TB a month when it is only possible to send 300GB in 5 days?
[4/30/2013 5:47:06 PM] Eddie Johnson: Did you think I'd let you get away with scamming me?
[4/30/2013 9:57:48 PM] sonuyos: You want refund?
[4/30/2013 9:58:39 PM] Eddie Johnson: yeah, to be honest you've been dicking me around too long, I can't put up with any more of your bullshit. I advise you to not try to pull this shit in the future
[4/30/2013 10:01:39 PM] sonuyos: You will get it within next 24 to 48hrs

Absolutely, I have tons of proof, do you have Skype? I'd be more than happy to tell you my story really fast and help you find another solution. I do not offer hosting myself, and I'm not affiliated with any but since I've done a lot of shopping around after being ripped off by this scumbag I do know which hosts are good and which ones are bad.

Shoot me a PM on here if you want my Skype, I'd be more than happy to help you find someone other than this jerk off! :)

Proof :/

If you think a company, which is registered at WJ, has cheated you please post all proofs here immediately. No has has anything personal against any companies here, but posting the proof will be beneficial for this WJ community as a whole & would prevent other users to be cheated. That's all.

huggybear: I sent over screenshots of Sonuyos's & my Skype conversations and Skype logged chat history to CV. Haven't heard back from him, but I did post the Skype chat logs on the previous page. Most notably this section proves that this scam host scumbag agreed that he doesn't know what he is doing and offered a refund:

[4/30/2013 9:57:48 PM] sonuyos: You want refund?

And yes, PayPal decided in his favor, they always do for virtual goods, that is a no-brainer. I am however talking to someone at PayPal and I'm hoping to freeze his account so they can do a formal investigation, who knows how many others have been scammed by this loser.

Sonuyos is a SCAM HOST

The sheer fact that the scam artist Sonuyos is bragging about winning a PayPal dispute after he clearly agreed to refund my $70 just goes to show how much of a scumbag he is. If he & host-palace.com were operating a legitimate company then there would have not been any possible case for me to even be able to open up a resolution case to begin with!

I have done the same thing with a 'new' company when ordering a RDP

Paid the money. Waited. Didn't receive. Went through Paypal

Paypal has the audacity to say that because it is 'e-goods' then we are screwed as buyers
EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T RECEIVE THEM, I HAD TO PAY!
Scammers paradise is Paypal for anything like this
Take the card payment option in Paypal instead

That's why I pay by visa all the time now. Insurance against this type of shit
