looking for best video converter

i download movies to my PC on AVI MKV MP4 formats , my friends wants them in his XBOX , i think MKV don't support Xbox so what will be the ideal converter to use on converting movies to support Xbox

any body who can help me find the best tool for this job would get good karma<3
