Alright, I got the datacenter.

But, is the port really 100mbit ? got any test files to download and check the speeds ?
 
Guys people are soooo dumb serious here in WJunction.

He does not mean that the internet speed connected to the server is 100Mbit dedicated speed on it.

He means that the port speed is 100Mbit.. Thats the speed at which a switch would transmit at, it depends on the internet speed connected to the server that would be the real speed.

No. We no dumb. We are intelligennce... we are smartyies. Hell YeAh !

What I wanted to know that, is the port their offering is really 100mbit or not. I've visited a datacenter in Mumbai and I had a full day conversation with their Level 3 SysAdmin & Marketing Head.

The SysAdmin told me that, only 4 datacenters are having 100mbits port.
1. Reliance
2. BSNL
3. Theirs
4. Airtel

None datacenter is having 100mbit, all are limited to either 50mbit or 10mbit. Its because, the bandwidth is provided taking into consideration the company's value, clientele, infrastructure, etc. You can't just buy 5-6 servers and place it in your garden and give application to VSNL that you need a dedicated bandwidth line of 100mbit. They'll reject it.

So I was curious to know whether its really 100mbit or not.
