How to reduce spam comment from wordpress?

Hi! I have a blog site using wordpress platform. I publish blog daily basis, but there are lot of spam comment i have handled everyday.
please anyone know how can i get rid of this?

As others said spam fighting plugins. Usually I just go into comments.php on the theme and replace it with banner ads. I just don't like dealing with comments and the kind of blogs I had don't need comments.

But if you do you could have askimet or other spam plugins.
