The marquee tag doesn't work in all browsers. It is incredibly annoying and distracting. It's non standard HTML. And it's even worse for ads, because if a visitor is actually interested in the ad, it makes it impossible to click on.
 
works perfect in firefox
and you dont have to use it
i use it for gfx showcase on GFXweTrust
never had a issue with it maybe your putting it in the wrong sections of your forums
 
Your not understanding the point MrPeanut. Windows 98 still works fine too on most systems but your not exactly encouraged to use it.

It's an incredibly old form of coding which is no longer supported and therefore should be avoided. Their are several more modern and more efficent ways to produce the same affect.

To clarify I would not encourage people to use this.
