hi guys,

been through alot of rough patches in the movie / tv-series era,
now since openload, streamango, rapidvideo is all gone,

and the migration begins,
I wanted to know which backup video solution can you guys recommend to make such disasters more manageable NEXT time?

I have around 5TB video backup locally but it doesn't seem to be a viable source of backup,
as some users here suggest, find a good backup server and use their "CDN transfer" to the next video host,

as uploading locally will take forever....,

which file hoster or backup do you guys recommend?
for now I've only found 1fichier.com,

as they offer $22 / year with 100TB cold storage (what I wanted),
and as for transfer they offer 100GB / month (CDN transfer) after that it's gonna be $1/TB of transfer,

what are your guys solution?

Thanks

1fichier are 2TB cold without downloads.
Stop using even for active content when files expire every 60 days.

I best store locally. Buying hard drives.

If I buy premium, files stay forever active, right? (cold / hot storage)
No.

At 60 days without discharge it is considered cold.
Exceeded 2TB in cold they send you notice that they will erase the surplus in 14 days and the account is blocked to new rises.

Right now I have:

Hot Storage : 427.39 GB
Cold Storage : 0 B

If I buy premium, my files in "hot storage", will remain ative forever right?
Only "cold storage" (if I exceed 2TB), will delete files that are not active for 60 days, right?

When a file has a download it becomes hot storage for 60 days.
When it is just up to 60 days from now it does not become cold.

not sure if it meets your requirements, but i use for my backups polish service chomikuj.pl since 2010, and definitely have more than 100 tb of data stored there. files dont get deleted even if not downloaded and you dont pay a penny for it. they have an app to upload files from your pc as well (it's in English) to speed up the process.

You can rent a cheap Dedicated server with enough storage.

Or you buy / build a NAS server for your home. Then you can save costs but you just do not have such a fast connection.

Even if you have premium.
If the file is not downloaded for 60 days it becomes cold.

You should not use it for a backup greater than 2TB.

I'm still a bit confused about your explanations. If I get premium and if I don't exceed 2TB, my files in hot or cold, will stay forever? Or files will NEVER be forever online in hot/cold?
