I guess it depends on the server load sometimes it takes forever to fetch a file and is more frecuent on MegaPorn than Megaupload.

I'm tired of dealing with Image Host that delete content because the file wasn’t accessed in X amount of months and they provide a small thumb and every time they make the thumbnail smaller so you can click on their website. I highly recommend to create your own image hosting for your board...
