Large (porn) sites probably have a lot of capacity, like (regional) caching of content for faster access based on geo location and a lot of bandwidth. And maybe some of them are using different streaming containers to deliver video/audio content.

Streaming is becoming easier and more user-friendly than torrents.

Do you plan to include streaming videos? Because you can use my site, which also has embed links for videos.

There is xFilesharing and there is xVideosharing. xVideosharing is for (pseudo) streaming of video's.

For a storage server that will be serving files, it is better to have more independent disks rather that a a few with large storage capacity, as was already mentioned here. But i would not put the disks in raid, just let them be independent. For example 4 disks of 1TB each, will have more IOPS...

There are a lot of websites that use sibsoft scripts. They use perl mostly I think, I did not know that they encode their script code.

A lot of suggestions here are not streaming sites though, but movie database sites.
